B. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

D. Get Access
   (1) Open the left thrust-reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

4. Procedure
Subtask 75-32-01-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Low Pressure Compressor (LPC) (2.5) Bleed Valve Actuator
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
   (1) Make sure that you wipe clean all parts and tools to remove contamination and to prevent damage to the engine.
   (2) Find the actuator (1) attached to the Compressor Intermediate Case (CIC) bulkhead at the 10 o'clock position.
     (a) Remove the fan exit liner segment forward of the actuator (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-08-000-801).
   (3) Remove the actuator (1) as follows:
     (a) Remove the insulation blanket (2) from the actuator (1).
     (b) Disconnect the wiring harness (W04) connector (P28) from the actuator (1) with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.
     (c) Put the CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL) under the actuator (1).
     (d) Put a lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.P05-005) under the actuator (1).
     (e) Disconnection of the drain tube
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE MATING PARTS WHEN YOU LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE TUBE OR HOSE NUTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, YOU CAN TWIST OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES OR HOSES.
       1 Disconnect the drain tube (DR11) from the bottom of the actuator (1).
       2 Disconnect the servo pressure fuel tube (CP04) from the actuator (1).
       3 Disconnect the servo return fuel tube (CR04) from the actuator (1).
     (f) Remove the bolt (12) that attaches the connecting link to the actuator (1).
     (g) Remove the two bolts (14) and two bolts (15) and remove the bracket (13) from the actuator (1) and bracket.
     (h) Loosen the four captive bolts that attach the actuator (1).
     (i) Remove the actuator (1).
   (4) Installation of protection covers:
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
     (a) Make sure that you install all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent engine damage.
