C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Ground Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

   (1) Make sure that the right thrust reverser cowl-doors is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure
Subtask 75-24-49-420-081-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Turbine Active Clearance Control (ACC) Ducts
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
   (1) Removal of the protection covers
CAUTION: REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
     (a) Make sure that remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine.
   (2) Install the ACC duct (AD04) (1) to the ACC valve and manifolds as follows: See the sheet 1 of the figure.
     (a) Clean the ACC manifold perimeters (Ref. AMM TASK 70-27-00-910-810): See sheet 3 of the figure.
     (b) Apply the P09-014sealant, silicone rubber to the ACC manifold perimeters. Refer to PWSPM-D-70-48-00-05A-621A-D.
     (c) Install the coupling (4) and a new EIPC 75-24-49-01-010 PACKING (3) to the tube if necessary, as follows:
       1 Apply P03-001lubricant, aircraft turbine engine or Sealing Ring Lubricant (Material No.
P06-053) to the packing (3).
       2 Install the packing (3) to the tube tab.
       3 Install the coupling (4) to the tube and packing (3).
     (d) Apply P03-001lubricant, aircraft turbine engine or Sealing Ring Lubricant (Material No.P06-053) to a new EIPC 75-24-49-01-010 PACKING (3).
     (e) Install the packing (3) to the ACC duct (AD04) (1) tab.
     (f) Align and install the ACC duct (AD04) (1) on the ACC manifold between the coupling (4) and the ACC valve.
     (g) Make sure that the two tabs on the tube and ACC duct (AD04) (1) fully engage and safety the two packings (3) and coupling (4).
     (h) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.
P06-054) to the threads of the clamp (2) bolt and the four bolts (5).
NOTE: For new or refurbished bolts or nuts with baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
     (i) Install the four bolts (5) on the duct (AD04) (1) and the ACC manifold finger-tight.
     (j) Torque the clamp (2) as follows:
       1 TORQUE the clamp (2) to between 100 and 85 lbf.in (1.13 and 0.96 m.daN ) T.
       2 Tap the clamp (2) lightly with a MALLET - SOFT FACE at several places around perimeter.
       3 TORQUE the clamp (2) again to between 100 and 85 lbf.in (1.13 and 0.96 m.daN )
T.
     (k) TORQUE the four bolts (5) to between 100 and 90 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.02 m.daN )
T.
     (l) Clean all excess RTV after assembly of the duct (AD04) (1) from the bead formed along the seam of the hardware.
     (m) Allow the RTV to cure. Refer to PWSPM-D-70-48-00-05A-621A-D.
   (3) Install the ACC valve (
Ref. AMM TASK 75-24-01-400-801).
   (4) Install the duct (AD03) (14) on the ACC valve as follows: See the sheet 2 of the figure.
     (a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the clamp (16) bolt and the two bolts (15).
NOTE: For new or refurbished bolts or nuts with baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
     (b) Align and install the duct (AD03) (14) on the ACC valve and cooling air tube with the clamps (16) and (18) finger-tight.
     (c) Attach the connecting links to the duct (AD03) (14) with the two nuts (17) and bolts (15) finger-tight.
     (d) Torque the clamp (16) as follows:
       1 TORQUE the clamp (16) to between 100 and 85 lbf.in (1.13 and 0.96 m.daN ) T.
       2 Tap the clamp (16) lightly with a MALLET - SOFT FACE at several places around the perimeter.
       3 TORQUE the clamp (16) again to between 100 and 85 lbf.in (1.13 and 0.96 m.daN )

     (e) TORQUE the clamp (18) to between 18 and 14.58 lbf.in (0.20 and 0.16 m.daN )
T.
     (f) TORQUE the two nuts (17) to between 195 and 175 lbf.in (2.20 and 1.98 m.daN )
