Operational Test of the ignition System without the CFDS
1. Reason for the Job
Use this test to do an aural check of the igniter plug operation.

D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the MAINTENANCE PNL 50VU:
Make sure that the FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is released.
The ON legend of this pushbutton switch is ON.
(2) On the ENG PNL make sure that:
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/MAN START/1(2) pushbutton switch is OFF (the pushbutton switch is released out).
(4) On the HYD/FUEL PNL:
Make sure that the OFF legends of all the FUEL/PUMPS pushbutton switches are ON (the pushbutton switches are released out).
(5) Do an ENG 1(2) dry motor (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-045) to remove the remaining fuel before you do the test.
4. Procedure(1) On the MAINTENANCE PNL 50VU:
Make sure that the FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is released.
The ON legend of this pushbutton switch is ON.
(2) On the ENG PNL make sure that:
- The ENG/MODE/CRANK/NORM/IGN START selector switch is set to NORM.
- The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch is set to OFF.
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/MAN START/1(2) pushbutton switch is OFF (the pushbutton switch is released out).
(4) On the HYD/FUEL PNL:
Make sure that the OFF legends of all the FUEL/PUMPS pushbutton switches are ON (the pushbutton switches are released out).
(5) Do an ENG 1(2) dry motor (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-045) to remove the remaining fuel before you do the test.

WARNING:
BEFORE YOU PUSH THE MAN START PUSHBUTTON SWITCH, MAKE SURE THAT, ON THE ECAM DISPLAY UNIT, THE PRESSURE AT THE STARTER VALVE INLET IS ZERO PSI.
IF THE PRESSURE IS NOT ZERO PSI, THE ENGINE CAN ROTATE AND CAUSE INJURY.
