A. Installation of the J15 Harness
(2) Connect the J15 harness to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and the bleed bias transducer.
(a) Engage the connector in the related receptacle, and turn the knurled coupling ring by hand until full engagement.
(b) Tighten the coupling ring with PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.
(c) Make sure that the connector is fully engaged and does not move.
(d) If necessary, do the above steps again.
(3) Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) to the bolt threads before installation.
(4) Install the loop clamp (83), the bolt (82) and the nut (84) which attach the J15 harness to the cover plate of the clamp assembly at 5:00 o'clock location (detail A). Tighten the bolt by hand.
(5) Install the J15 harness in the clip on the bracket at the 4:30 o'clock location on flange E (detail B), under the ECU.
PRE SB CFM56-5 72-443
(6) Install the loop clamp (229) and the bolt (230) which attach the J15 harness forward lead to the bracket at the 4:00 o'clock location on flange E (detail C). Tighten the bolt by hand.
(7) Install the loop clamp (232), the bolt (231) and the nut (233) which attach the J15 harness aft lead to the bracket at the 4:00 o'clock location of flange G (detail C). Tighten the bolt by hand.
POST SB CFM56-5 72-443
(8) Install the loop clamps (229), (232), the spacer (234) and the bolt (230) which attach the J15 harness (forward and aft lead) to the bracket at the 4:00 o'clock location on flange E (detail C). Tighten the bolt by hand.
END OF SB CFM56-5 72-443
(9) Make sure that the harness is not stressed. TORQUE all bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
