A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-21-50-010-083-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

(2) Make sure that the thrust reverser doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040):

A. Installation of the J10 Harness
(1) Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) on the bolt threads before installation.
(2) Install the J10 electrical harness on the fan frame and remove the caps from the connectors.
(3) Connect the electrical connectors:
1 Engage the connector in the related receptacle, and turn knurled coupling ring by hand until full engagement.
2 Tighten the coupling ring with PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.
3 Make sure that the connector is fully engaged and does not move.
4 If necessary, do the above steps again.
(4) Install the clamp (20) and the bolt (10) which attach the J10 harness with the J9 harness to the bracket on the flange B at the 5:00 o'clock location (detail A). Tighten bolt by hand.
(5) Remove the clamp assembly from the right leg of the bracket which is at the 5:30 o'clock location between flanges E and G (detail C). Install the J10 harness into the flexible clamp (70). Install the cover plate (60) and attach with 2 bolts (50). Tighten bolts by hand.

(6) Install the J10 harness into the flexible clamp (100) on the right TGB bracket. Install the cover plate (90) and attach with 2 bolts (80) (detail D).
POST SB 72-232
(7) Install the J10 harness into the flexible clamp (100) on the right TGB bracket. Install the cover plate (90) and attach with 2 bolts (80) and washers (110) (detail D).
END OF SB 72-232
(8) Install the clamp (40) and the bolt (30) which attach the J9 harness with the J10 harness to the bracket at the 5 o'clock location on flanges G and E (detail B). Tighten the bolt by hand.
(9) Install the clamp (150) and the bolt (140) which attach the J9 harness with the J10 harness to the bracket on flange H at the 5:30 o'clock location (detail F). Tighten the bolt by hand.
(10) Install the clamps and the bolt which attach the J10 harness to the following: Tighten bolts by hand.
(a) The bracket on the TGB right side (detail E).
(b) The bracket on flange B at the 5:45 o'clock location (detail J).
(c) The bracket on flange B at the 5:00 o'clock location (detail G).
POST SB 72-549
(11) Install the clamp (200) and the bolt (180) which attach the J10 harness to the bracket at the 5:30 o'clock location on flange D (detail H) with J9 clamp and nut (190). Tighten the bolt by hand.

(12) Install the clamps and the bolts which attach the J10 harness to the following: Tighten the bolts by hand.
(a) The bracket on flange B at the 5 o'clock location (detail K), with J9 clamp.
(b) The bracket on flange B at the 4:45 o'clock location (detail L) with J9 clamp and nut (260).
(c) The bracket on flange B at the 4:15 o'clock location (detail M), with nut (290).
(d) The bracket on flange B at the 4 o'clock location (detail N), with nut (320).

(e) The lower end of bracket on flange B at the 3:30 o'clock location (detail P) with nut (380) and bolt (370).
(f) The upper end of bracket on flange B at the 3:30 o'clock location (detail P) with J9 clamp, nut (350) and bolt (340).

(g) Install the J10 harness in the clip on the bracket on flange B at the 3:30 o'clock location (detail P).
(h) The upper end of bracket on flange B at the 3:30 o'clock location (detail P) with J9 clamp, nut (350) and bolt (340).

(i) The bracket on flange D at the 3:30 o'clock location (detail Q), with J9 clamp.
(j) Install the clamps and the bolts which attach the J10 harness with the J9 clamps to the following. Tighten the bolts by hand.
(13) Remove the bolts which attach the J9 and J10 clamps to the following:

(b) Not applicable.
(c) The bracket on flange B at the 2:00 o'clock location (detail T).

Subtask 73-21-50-942-076-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) on the bolt threads before installation.

(3) Connect the electrical connectors:
CAUTION:
CAREFULLY ALIGN THE CONNECTOR KEY WITH THE RECEPTACLE KEYWAY BEFORE YOU CONNECT THEM TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE CONNECTORS.
CAUTION:
DISTRIBUTE THE SLACK ALL ALONG THE CABLE. DO NOT LET THE CABLE SHEATH TOUCH THE ADJACENT COMPONENTS. DO NOT TWIST THE SHEATH BY MORE THAN 180 DEGREES.
(a) Connect the J10 electrical harness to the ECU, the N1 speed sensor, the control alternator, the starter valve and the T12 sensor as follows: 1 Engage the connector in the related receptacle, and turn knurled coupling ring by hand until full engagement.
2 Tighten the coupling ring with PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.
3 Make sure that the connector is fully engaged and does not move.
4 If necessary, do the above steps again.
(4) Install the clamp (20) and the bolt (10) which attach the J10 harness with the J9 harness to the bracket on the flange B at the 5:00 o'clock location (detail A). Tighten bolt by hand.
(5) Remove the clamp assembly from the right leg of the bracket which is at the 5:30 o'clock location between flanges E and G (detail C). Install the J10 harness into the flexible clamp (70). Install the cover plate (60) and attach with 2 bolts (50). Tighten bolts by hand.

(11) Install the clamp (200) and the bolt (180) which attach the J10 harness to the bracket at the 5:30 o'clock location on flange D (detail H) with J9 clamp and nut (190). Tighten the bolt by hand.
