A. Installation of the Fuel Return To Tank (RTT) Valve
(2) Install the fuel RTT valve (1) on the thermal management system manifold as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the four bolts (4).
1 Raised material on the metal surface is not permitted.
2 Rubber that is not bonded to the seal plate is not permitted.
3 Rubber that is missing is not permitted.
4 Inspect the rubber seal for separation from the seal plate.
5 Rubber that is cut or damaged is not permitted.
6 Make sure that the rubber material is above the metal surface.
(c) Install the EIPC 73-13-03-01-090 FACE SEAL (2) and valve (1) with the four bolts (4) and four washers (3).
(d) TORQUE the four bolts (4) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN )
equally in an opposite pattern until the same torque indication holds.
(3) Apply Flushing Oil (Material No.P03-002) or equivalent onto the fuel tube B-nut and valve (1) adapter threads.
(4) Connect the fuel tube to the valve (1).
.
.
(7) Connect the wiring harness (WC11) connector (P68) to the fuel RTT valve receptacle (J68) as follows:
(a) Examine, align and engage the connector.
(b) Push lightly inward on the connector while you tighten the coupling ring.
(c) Use the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT and tighten the connector against the receptacle.
(d) Make sure that you can feel the ratchet feature.
(e) While you tighten, push the connector in and from side to side.
(f) Tighten the connector until the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT slip on the connector ring.
(8) Install the loop-B fire harness on its supports if clamps were removed (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-62-400-802).
(9) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.
5. Close-upCAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(1) Removal of the protection covers: CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
(a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine. (2) Install the fuel RTT valve (1) on the thermal management system manifold as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the four bolts (4).
NOTE: For new or refurbished bolts or nuts with baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(b) Inspect the current face seal (2) for reusability as follows: 1 Raised material on the metal surface is not permitted.
(c) Install the EIPC 73-13-03-01-090 FACE SEAL (2) and valve (1) with the four bolts (4) and four washers (3).

equally in an opposite pattern until the same torque indication holds. (3) Apply Flushing Oil (Material No.P03-002) or equivalent onto the fuel tube B-nut and valve (1) adapter threads.
(4) Connect the fuel tube to the valve (1).
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE MATING PARTS WHEN YOU LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE TUBE OR HOSE NUTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, YOU CAN TWIST OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES OR HOSES.
(5) TORQUE the B-nut to between 470 and 430 lbf.in (5.31 and 4.86 m.daN )
. NOTE: Do not loosen the B-nut.
(6) TORQUE the B-nut again to between 470 and 430 lbf.in (5.31 and 4.86 m.daN )
. (7) Connect the wiring harness (WC11) connector (P68) to the fuel RTT valve receptacle (J68) as follows:
