(1) Install the inner race (1) of the roller bearing (4) on the deoiler gear (2)
(a) Put IAE1F10258 RING-INSTALLATION around the mounting diameter of the ball bearing (5) and below the shoulder of the deoiler gear (2).
(b) Install the half rings and the deoiler gear (2) on IAE1F10200 BASE-REMOVAL INSTALLATION with the gear teeth to the top.
(c) Put the inner race (1) of the roller bearing (4) into OVEN, TEMPERATURE RANGE 285 DEG.F (141 DEG.C) and increase the temperature to 250 deg.F (121.11 deg.C) maximum.
(d) Put the inner race (1) of the roller bearing (4) on the guide bush of IAE1F10189 DRIFT-INSTALLATION.
(e) Put the guide bush of the drift in to the ID of the deoiler gear (2).
(f) Push the drift until the inner race (1) of the roller bearing (4) touch the shoulder of the deoiler gear (2). Use ARBOR PRESS or equivalent. Apply a load of 2248 lbf (999.95 daN).
(g) Remove the drift from the deoiler gear (2).
(h) Let the inner race (1) of the roller bearing (4) get to the room temperature. Make sure the inner race (1) of the roller bearing (4) is correctly installed to the deoiler gear (2).
(i) Remove the deoiler gear (2) from the base.
(2) Install the ball bearing (5) on the deoiler housing (3).
(a) Install the deoiler housing (3) on IAE1F10240 BASE-INSTALLATION. Install the bolts which attach the deoiler housing (3) on the base. Tighten the bolts.
(b) Install the ball bearing (5) on the deoiler housing (3). Use IAE1F10239 DRIFT-INSTALLATION. If this is not easy go to operation C.
(c) If operation B is not easy, locally increase the temperature of the bearing housing to 250 deg.F (121.11 deg.C) maximum. Use GUN - HOT AIR.
(d) Install the three nuts which attach the ball bearing (5) on the deoiler housing (3). TORQUE to between 95 and 85 lbf.in (1.07 and 0.96 m.daN )
.
(e) Remove the bolts which attach the deoiler housing (3) to the base. Remove the deoiler housing (3) from the base.
(3) Install the deoiler housing (3) with the ball bearing (5) on the deoiler gear (2).
(a) Install the deoiler gear (2) on IAE1F10199 BASE-INSTALLATION with the roller bearing (4) to the bottom. Put the adapter of the base in to the ID of the deoiler gear (2).
(b) Put the deoiler housing (3) with the ball bearing (5) into OVEN, TEMPERATURE RANGE 285 DEG.F (141 DEG.C) and increase the temperature to 250 deg.F (121.11 deg.C) maximum.
(c) Put the deoiler housing (3) with the ball bearing (5) to the bottom on the guide bush of IAE1F10196 DRIFT-INSTALLATION.
(d) Put the guide bush of the drift on the deoiler gear (2).
(e) Push the drift until the ball bearing (5) touch the shoulder of the gearshaft. Use ARBOR PRESS or equivalent. Apply a load of 1574 lbf (700.14 daN).
(f) Remove the drift from the deoiler gear (2).
(g) Let the ball bearing (5) get to the room temperature. Make sure the ball bearing (5) is correctly installed on the deoiler gear (2).
(4) Install the impeller (6) on the deoiler gear drive (2).
(b) Put IAE1F10209 DRIFT-INSTALLATION on the impeller (6) with the guide pusher of the drift into the ID of the deoiler gear (2).
(c) Push the drift until the flange of the impeller touch the inner race (1) of the ball bearing (5). Use ARBOR PRESS or equivalent.
(d) Remove the drift from the deoiler gear (2).
(e) Install NUT DIA 0.25 IN (6.35 MM) on the deoiler drive gear (2) to hold the impeller (6) in position. Use WRENCH - STANDARD.
(f) Remove the deoiler drive gear (2) and impeller (6) from the base.
(5) Install the nut washer (7) on the deoiler gear drive (2).
(a) Install the deoiler drive gear (2) and impeller (6) on IAE1F10211 BASE-REMOVAL INSTALLATION with the impeller (6) to the top. Attach the gear teeth to the base with the clamp.
(b) Remove the NUT DIA 0.25 IN (6.35 MM) from the gearshaft. Use WRENCH - STANDARD.
(c) Put the nut washer (7) on the gearshaft. Tighten the nut washer (7) as far as it can be tightened by hand.
(d) Align the lugs of IAE1F10210 WRENCH-REMOVAL INSTALLATION with the slots of the nut washer (7). Install the wrench on the nut washer (7).
(e) Turn the wrench clockwise and TORQUE to between 800 and 700 lbf.in (9.04 and 7.91 m.daN )
. Use the WRENCH - STANDARD.
(f) Remove the wrench from the deoiler gear (2).
(6) Install the lock washer (10) and the segment (9) on the nut washer (7).
(a) Install the slide of IAE1F10219 PUSHER-INSTALLATION on the nut washer (7).
(b) Put the segment (9) into the groove of the lock washer (10).
(c) Put the lock washer (10) and the segment (9) into the ID of the slide with the segment (9) to the top.
(d) Put the pusher on the lock washer (10). Push the pusher until the lock washer (10) and the segment (9) are fully installed into the slots of the nut washer (7).
(e) Remove the pusher and the slide from the nut washer (7).
(f) Release the clamp of the base. Remove the deoiler gear drive (2) and impeller (6) from the base.
Subtask 72-60-29-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Make sure mating faces are clean.
(2) Lightly lubricate the new packing (4) with approvedV10-077 lubricant (engine oil) and install it on the vent tube (3).
(3) Put the vent tube (3) together with the bracket (2) on the deoiler casing (5) and align bolt holes.
(4) Install vent tube (3) together with the bracket (2) to the deoiler casing (5) using 3 off bolts (1).
(5) Together with the bracket (2), TORQUE the bolts (1) that attach the vent tube (3) to the deoiler casing (5) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(6) Connect vent tube (3) to the tube (7). Use IAE1R18003 WRENCH to TORQUE the coupling nut (6) to between 611 and 566 lbf.in (6.90 and 6.40 m.daN )

(7) Safety the tube (7) with corrosion resistant corrosion resistant steel lockwire (Material No.V02-119) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-40-11-911-014).
(8) Install the bolt (16), washer (17) and the nut (18) at the clip position 0594. TORQUE the nut to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(9) Tighten clipping point 1092, 1012, 1011 and 1010. TORQUE bolts and nuts to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )

(10) Install bolt (8), washer (9), spacers (10) and clip nut (12) at the clip position 0200. TORQUE bolt and nut to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )

(11) Install bolt (13) and clip nut (15) at the clipping position 0556. TORQUE bolt and nut to between 36 to 45 lbf in (4 to 5 Nm) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
Subtask 72-60-29-420-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Lightly lubricate the new packing (11) with approvedV10-077 lubricant (engine oil) .
(2) Make sure the packing (11) is correctly installed on the tank pressurization valve (12).
(3) Lightly lubricate the new packing (7) with approvedV10-077 lubricant (engine oil) . Install the packing (7) on the deoiler connector of the tube (3).
(4) Move the oil tank breather tube (3) in position on the gearbox and engage the oil tank breather tube (3) to the oil tank pressurization valve (12).
(5) Put the bracket (10) on the oil tank breather tube (3) and align the bolt holes.
(6) Together with the bracket (10), install the three bolts (8) and washers (9) that attach the oil tank breather tube (3) to the oil tank. TORQUE the bolts to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )

(7) Move the oil tank breather tube (3) in position on the gearbox at view A. Install the three bolts (4) and washers (6) that attach the oil tank breather tube (3) to the deoiler casing (1) together with bracket (5). TORQUE the bolts to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )
. Install bolts (16), washer (17) and the clip nut (18) to connect bracket (5) to clipping point 1116 at view D. Install bolts (19), washer (20) and the clip nut (21) to connect bracket (5) to clipping point 1117 at view E. TORQUE bolts and nuts to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )

(8) Move the oil tank breather tube (3) in position on the gearbox at view A. Install the three bolts (4) and washers (6) that attach the oil tank breather tube (3) to the deoiler casing (1) together with bracket (5). TORQUE the bolts to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )
. Install bolts (22) and nut (23) to connect bracket (5) to clipping point 1400 and 1401 at view F. TORQUE bolts and nuts to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )

(9) Connect electrical harness to bracket (10) at view G. Install bolt (24) and clip nut (25) at clipping position 0787. TORQUE bolt and nut to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )

(10) Connect EEC harness to clipping point 1106 at view C. Install the bolt (13), washer (14) and nut (15) at clipping position 1106. TORQUE bolt and nut to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )
and tighten clipping points 1110, 1109 and 1105. TORQUE bolt and nut to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )

DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. FLUSH THE OIL FROM YOUR SKIN WITH WATER. THE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR BODY.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

A. Assembly of the Deoiler Gear and Impeller Assembly (1) Install the inner race (1) of the roller bearing (4) on the deoiler gear (2)
(a) Put IAE1F10258 RING-INSTALLATION around the mounting diameter of the ball bearing (5) and below the shoulder of the deoiler gear (2).
(b) Install the half rings and the deoiler gear (2) on IAE1F10200 BASE-REMOVAL INSTALLATION with the gear teeth to the top.
(c) Put the inner race (1) of the roller bearing (4) into OVEN, TEMPERATURE RANGE 285 DEG.F (141 DEG.C) and increase the temperature to 250 deg.F (121.11 deg.C) maximum.
(d) Put the inner race (1) of the roller bearing (4) on the guide bush of IAE1F10189 DRIFT-INSTALLATION.
(e) Put the guide bush of the drift in to the ID of the deoiler gear (2).
(f) Push the drift until the inner race (1) of the roller bearing (4) touch the shoulder of the deoiler gear (2). Use ARBOR PRESS or equivalent. Apply a load of 2248 lbf (999.95 daN).
(g) Remove the drift from the deoiler gear (2).
(h) Let the inner race (1) of the roller bearing (4) get to the room temperature. Make sure the inner race (1) of the roller bearing (4) is correctly installed to the deoiler gear (2).
(i) Remove the deoiler gear (2) from the base.
(2) Install the ball bearing (5) on the deoiler housing (3).
(a) Install the deoiler housing (3) on IAE1F10240 BASE-INSTALLATION. Install the bolts which attach the deoiler housing (3) on the base. Tighten the bolts.
(b) Install the ball bearing (5) on the deoiler housing (3). Use IAE1F10239 DRIFT-INSTALLATION. If this is not easy go to operation C.
(c) If operation B is not easy, locally increase the temperature of the bearing housing to 250 deg.F (121.11 deg.C) maximum. Use GUN - HOT AIR.

(3) Install the deoiler housing (3) with the ball bearing (5) on the deoiler gear (2).
(a) Install the deoiler gear (2) on IAE1F10199 BASE-INSTALLATION with the roller bearing (4) to the bottom. Put the adapter of the base in to the ID of the deoiler gear (2).
(b) Put the deoiler housing (3) with the ball bearing (5) into OVEN, TEMPERATURE RANGE 285 DEG.F (141 DEG.C) and increase the temperature to 250 deg.F (121.11 deg.C) maximum.
(c) Put the deoiler housing (3) with the ball bearing (5) to the bottom on the guide bush of IAE1F10196 DRIFT-INSTALLATION.
(d) Put the guide bush of the drift on the deoiler gear (2).
(e) Push the drift until the ball bearing (5) touch the shoulder of the gearshaft. Use ARBOR PRESS or equivalent. Apply a load of 1574 lbf (700.14 daN).
(f) Remove the drift from the deoiler gear (2).
(g) Let the ball bearing (5) get to the room temperature. Make sure the ball bearing (5) is correctly installed on the deoiler gear (2).
(4) Install the impeller (6) on the deoiler gear drive (2).
CAUTION:
DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FIN OF THE SEAL DURING THE INSTALLATION OF THE IMPELLER.
(a) Align the two grooves on the ID of the impeller with the guide pin on the deoiler gear (2). Install the impeller (6) on the deoiler gear (2) with the seal to the bottom. (b) Put IAE1F10209 DRIFT-INSTALLATION on the impeller (6) with the guide pusher of the drift into the ID of the deoiler gear (2).
(c) Push the drift until the flange of the impeller touch the inner race (1) of the ball bearing (5). Use ARBOR PRESS or equivalent.
(d) Remove the drift from the deoiler gear (2).
(e) Install NUT DIA 0.25 IN (6.35 MM) on the deoiler drive gear (2) to hold the impeller (6) in position. Use WRENCH - STANDARD.
(f) Remove the deoiler drive gear (2) and impeller (6) from the base.
(5) Install the nut washer (7) on the deoiler gear drive (2).
(a) Install the deoiler drive gear (2) and impeller (6) on IAE1F10211 BASE-REMOVAL INSTALLATION with the impeller (6) to the top. Attach the gear teeth to the base with the clamp.
(b) Remove the NUT DIA 0.25 IN (6.35 MM) from the gearshaft. Use WRENCH - STANDARD.
(c) Put the nut washer (7) on the gearshaft. Tighten the nut washer (7) as far as it can be tightened by hand.

. Use the WRENCH - STANDARD. (f) Remove the wrench from the deoiler gear (2).
(6) Install the lock washer (10) and the segment (9) on the nut washer (7).
(a) Install the slide of IAE1F10219 PUSHER-INSTALLATION on the nut washer (7).
(b) Put the segment (9) into the groove of the lock washer (10).
(c) Put the lock washer (10) and the segment (9) into the ID of the slide with the segment (9) to the top.
(d) Put the pusher on the lock washer (10). Push the pusher until the lock washer (10) and the segment (9) are fully installed into the slots of the nut washer (7).
(e) Remove the pusher and the slide from the nut washer (7).
(f) Release the clamp of the base. Remove the deoiler gear drive (2) and impeller (6) from the base.
B. Installation of the Deoiler Gear and Impeller Assembly

(1) Install the outer race (7) of the rear roller bearing into the seat in the internal of the gearbox casing (3). Align the holes on the outer race (7) flange with the studs on the gearbox casing (3). Use IAE1F10156 DRIFT-INSTALLATION to make easier the installation.
