BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

Subtask 79-22-44-410-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Install the two pins of IAE1F10082 PIN, GUIDE (2) in to the filter housing flange. Make sure there is a space of one bolt hole between each pin.
(1) Remove all the applicable covers/caps/plugs from the openings.

B. Installation of the Scavenge Oil Filter Element:
(1) Install a serviceable AIPC 79-22-44-80-070 FILTER ELEMENT (3) into the filter housing (1).
(2) Install the filter cover:
(b) Use the guide pins (2) to install the filter cover (5) on the filter housing (1).
(c) Attach the filter cover (5) to the filter housing (1) with three of the bolts (9) and three of the washers (10). Tighten the bolts with your hand.
(3) Remove the two guide pins (2) from the filter housing (1).
(4) Install the remaining bolts:
(a) Install the three remaining bolts (9) and the three remaining washers (10).
(b) TORQUE the six bolts to between 95 and 85 lbf.in (1.07 and 0.96 m.daN )

(5) Install the drain plug:
(b) Install the drain plug (8) on the filter cover (5).
(c) TORQUE the drain plug to between 71 and 53 lbf.in (0.80 and 0.60 m.daN )

(6) Install the drain plug:
(b) Install the packing (11) and the plug (12) on the filter cover (5).
(c) TORQUE the drain plug to between 71 and 53 lbf.in (0.80 and 0.60 m.daN )

5. Close-up(1) Install a serviceable AIPC 79-22-44-80-070 FILTER ELEMENT (3) into the filter housing (1).
(2) Install the filter cover:

DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. FLUSH THE OIL FROM YOUR SKIN WITH WATER. THE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR BODY.
(a) Lubricate a AIPC 79-22-44-80-060 PACKING (4) with the approved engine oils (Material No.V10-077) and install it (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-13-911-010) on the filter cover (5). (b) Use the guide pins (2) to install the filter cover (5) on the filter housing (1).
(c) Attach the filter cover (5) to the filter housing (1) with three of the bolts (9) and three of the washers (10). Tighten the bolts with your hand.
(3) Remove the two guide pins (2) from the filter housing (1).
(4) Install the remaining bolts:
(a) Install the three remaining bolts (9) and the three remaining washers (10).
(b) TORQUE the six bolts to between 95 and 85 lbf.in (1.07 and 0.96 m.daN )

(a) Lubricate a new AIPC 79-22-44-80-020 PACKING (7) with the approved engine oils (Material No.V10-077) and install it (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-13-911-010) to the drain plug (8). (b) Install the drain plug (8) on the filter cover (5).
(c) TORQUE the drain plug to between 71 and 53 lbf.in (0.80 and 0.60 m.daN )

USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(d) Safety the drain plug (8) with the lockwire (Material No.V02-119) . END OF PRE SBE 79-0101

(6) Install the drain plug:

(a) Lubricate a new AIPC 79-22-44-80-020 PACKING (11) with the approved engine oils (Material No.V10-077) and install it on the drain plug (12) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-13-911-010). (b) Install the packing (11) and the plug (12) on the filter cover (5).
(c) TORQUE the drain plug to between 71 and 53 lbf.in (0.80 and 0.60 m.daN )

USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
447AL 448AR.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
