A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

C. Remove all covers from the openings.
Subtask 79-23-51-110-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL D. Make a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) moist with V01-124 Isopropyl Alcohol, Technical grade . Use the cloth to clean the No. 4 bearing compartment scavenge valve mating face on the gearbox.
4. ProcedureSubtask 79-23-51-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Bearing Compartment Scavenge Valve.
(1) Install the No. 4 bearing compartment scavenge valve.
(a) Lubricate the new AIPC 79-23-51-80-030 SEALING RING (5) withV10-077 lubricant (engine oil) and install it to the valve (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-13-911-010).
(b) Align the bolt holes in the valve flange with the threaded holes in the de-oiler case flange of the gearbox.
(c) Attach the No. 4 bearing compartment scavenge valve with the bolts (4).
(d) TORQUE the bolts to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(2) Connect the oil tubes.
(a) Connect the oil vent tube (2) to the valve.
(b) Connect the oil tube (18) to the oil vent tube (2).
(c) Connect the oil tube (15) to the oil vent tube (2).
(d) TORQUE the bolts and the nuts of the clips around the oil vent tube (2) to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(e) TORQUE the coupling nut of the oil vent tube (2) to between 611 and 566 lbf.in (6.90 and 6.40 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). Use the IAE1R18003 WRENCH.
(f) TORQUE the coupling nut of the oil tube (18) to between 611 and 566 lbf.in (6.90 and 6.40 m.daN )
. Use the IAE1R18003 WRENCH.
(g) TORQUE the coupling nut of the oil tube (15) to between 177 and 159 lbf.in (2.00 and 1.80 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). Use the IAE1R18003 WRENCH.
(h) Safety the coupling nuts of the tubes (2), (18) and (15) with lockwire (Material No.V02-147) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-40-11-911-014).
(3) Install the air tube.
(a) Connect the tube (1) to the valve.
(b) TORQUE the tube coupling nut to between 221 and 204 lbf.in (2.50 and 2.31 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013) and safety with the lockwire (Material No.V02-147) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-40-11-911-014).
(4) Connect the electrical connector (3) to the valve (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-15-912-010).
5. Close-up(1) Install the No. 4 bearing compartment scavenge valve.
(a) Lubricate the new AIPC 79-23-51-80-030 SEALING RING (5) with

(3) Install the air tube.
(a) Connect the tube (1) to the valve.
(b) TORQUE the tube coupling nut to between 221 and 204 lbf.in (2.50 and 2.31 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013) and safety with the lockwire (Material No.V02-147) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-40-11-911-014). (4) Connect the electrical connector (3) to the valve (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-15-912-010).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
447AL 448AR.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

(2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
