A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Ground Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809).

   (1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

4. Procedure
WARNING: USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. USE THE ENGINE OIL IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. ENGINE OIL IS TOXIC.
Subtask 72-59-81-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Oil Supply Tube
   (1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the oil supply tube (5).
   (2) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
   (3) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
   (4) Lubricate the threads of the coupling nut (3) and the coupling nut (6) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
   (5) Install the oil supply tube (5) between the oil supply tube (7) and the bearing 5 oil nozzle (4).
   (6) Tighten manually each extremity of the oil supply tube (5).
   (7) TORQUE the coupling nut (6) to between 200 and 180 lbf.in (2.26 and 2.03 m.daN ) T.
   (8) TORQUE the coupling nut (3) to between 200 and 180 lbf.in (2.26 and 2.03 m.daN )
T.
   (9) Install the safetywire.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Safety the coupling nut (6) with the CP8001lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia..
     (b) Safety the coupling nut (3) with the CP8001lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia..
   (10) Install the front plug assembly (2) (
Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-40-400-801).
   (11) Install the rear plug assembly (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-41-400-803).
   (12) Remove the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) from below the oil supply tube (5).
