Subtask 78-11-41-420-052-A
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE EXHAUST REAR PLUG. THE EXHAUST REAR PLUG WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 15.43 LB (7 KG), INJURY TO PERSON AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
B. Installation of the Exhaust Rear Plug
NOTE: Two persons are necessary to install exhaust rear plug.
NOTE: Do step 4.B.(1) only if you re-use the fasteners.
   (1) Check the fastener to be installed on the exhaust rear plug:
     (a) Clean the removed fasteners before you examine them.
     (b) Make sure that the finish on the threads of the bolts (2) and the surfaces of the washers (3) are not damaged.
     (c) Do a check for the maximum locking torque for each nut (4):
NOTE: If you install new nut (4) then go to step 4.B.(2).
1 Turn the bolts (2) with your hand until the self-locking device is fully engaged.
2 Use a TORQUE WRENCH, to measure the maximum locking torque value of the bolts (2).
NOTE: Minimum of one and half threads of the bolts (2) must be seen to record the locking torque value.
3 Make sure that the maximum locking torque value of the nut (4) is not more than 0.339 m.daN (30.00 lbf.in).
4 If the maximum locking torque value is not in the limits, discard the nut (4) and install a new AIPC 78-11-80-20-070 NUT (4) with AIPC 78-11-80-20-060 RIVET (5) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-60-00-910-802).
     (d) Do a check for the minimum breakaway torque for each nut (4):
1 Use a WRENCH - TORQUE to loosen the bolts (2).
NOTE: Minimum of one and half threads of the bolts (2) must be seen to record the breakaway torque value.
2 Make sure that the minimum breakaway torque value necessary to turn the nut (4) is more than 0.04 m.daN (3.54 lbf.in).
3 If the minimum breakaway torque value is not in the limits, discard the nut (4) and install a new AIPC 78-11-80-20-070 NUT (4) with AIPC 78-11-80-20-060 RIVET (5) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-60-00-910-802).
