(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
Subtask 57-21-00-650-068-A WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001). (2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the wing fuel tank, zone 540 (640).
(2) Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-45-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-46-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-47-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002):

- the runout at the front spar (RIB 18).
B. Detailed Inspection of Outer Wing, Top Skin Stringers, Between RIB 13 and RIB 27, Including Runouts, Air Transfer Holes and Butt Strap at Stringer 11, Including Runout at Front Spar at RIB 18
(1) Examine the applicable inspection area. Make sure that:

- there are no loose or damaged fasteners
- the surface protection is in the correct condition.

(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
