   (1) Depressurize the Green, Yellow and Blue hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
   (3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 12M (40 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at Zone 320.

   (1) Remove the vertical stabilizer tip (Ref. AMM TASK 55-34-11-000-001).
   (2) Remove the leading edge of the vertical stabilizer (Ref. AMM TASK 55-32-11-000-001).
   (3) Remove the dorsal fin 321AL (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-11-000-001).
   (4) Remove the fairings 325AL and 325AR (Ref. AMM TASK 53-55-12-000-001).
   (5) Open and safety the access panels 325BL 325CL 325DL 325BR 325CR (Ref. AMM TASK 55-33-13-010-002).
   (6) Remove the access panels 325EL 325ER 325DR (Ref. AMM TASK 55-33-13-010-002).
   (7) Remove the peelable hole covers from the lighting holes at the spars.

C. Get Access
   (1) Remove the vertical stabilizer tip (Ref. AMM TASK 55-34-11-000-001).
   (2) Remove the leading edge of the vertical stabilizer (Ref. AMM TASK 55-32-11-000-001).
   (3) Remove dorsal fin 321AL (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-11-000-001).
   (4) Remove rudder fairings 325AL and 325AR (Ref. AMM TASK 53-55-12-000-001).
   (5) Open and safety access panels 325BL, 325CL, 325DL, 325BR and 325CR (Ref. AMM TASK 55-33-13-010-002).
   (6) Remove access panels 325EL, 325ER, 325FR and 325GR (Ref. AMM TASK 55-33-13-010-002).
   (7) Remove the peelable hole covers from the lighting holes at the spars.
4. Procedure

A. Inspection
   (1) Do a visual inspection of the vertical stabilizer center box internal structure as far as visible, the front spar FWD face and the upper closing rib upper structure.
   (2) If you find damage, look for the limits SRM 553100.
5. Close-up

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the peelable hole covers as follows:
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
     (a) For each lightening hole, cut a piece of Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) with 20 mm (0.7874 in.) of excess of the hole dimension to make the peelable hole covers.
     (b) Clean the adjacent area of the lightening holes with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) until contamination is removed. Do not let cleaning agent dry on the surfaces.
     (c) Install the peelable hole covers on the lightening holes.
   (3) Close the access panels 325BL 325CL 325DL 325BR 325CR (Ref. AMM TASK 55-33-13-410-002).
   (4) Install the access panels 325EL 325ER 325DR (Ref. AMM TASK 55-33-13-410-002).
   (5) Install the fairings 325AL and 325AR (Ref. AMM TASK 53-55-12-400-001).
   (6) Install the vertical stabilizer tip (Ref. AMM TASK 55-34-11-400-001).
   (7) Install the leading edge (Ref. AMM TASK 55-32-11-400-001).
   (8) Install the dorsal fin 321AL (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-11-400-001).
   (9) Remove the access platform(s).
   (10) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (11) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 55-30-00-410-054-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the new peelable hole covers as follows:
     (a) Clean the adjacent area of the lightening holes with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) . Do not let cleaning agent dry on the surfaces.
     (b) For each lightening hole, cut a piece of Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) with a diameter of 20 mm (0.7874 in.) larger than the diameter of the lightening hole.
     (c) Install the new peelable hole covers on the lightening holes.
   (3) Close access panels 325BL, 325CL, 325DL, 325BR and 325CR (Ref. AMM TASK 55-33-13-410-002).
   (4) Install access panels 325EL, 325ER, 325FR and 325GR (Ref. AMM TASK 55-33-13-410-002).
   (5) Install rudder fairings 325AL and 325AR (Ref. AMM TASK 53-55-12-400-001).
   (6) Install dorsal fin 321AL (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-11-400-001).
   (7) Install the leading edge of the vertical stabilizer (Ref. AMM TASK 55-32-11-400-001).
   (8) Install the vertical stabilizer tip (Ref. AMM TASK 55-34-11-400-001).
   (9) Remove the access platform(s).
   (10) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (11) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
