A. Removal of the Corrosion Preventive Compound
(2) Let the Non Aqueous Cleaner-Wax and grease remover - - (Material No.08BDA1) soak into the corrosion preventive compound for a minimum of 20 minutes.
(3) Flush the area with water with a maximum temperature of 50 deg.C (122.00 deg.F). Use a CLEANING EQUIPMENT - HIGH PRESSURE to do this, as follows:
(a) Hold the spray gun of the CLEANING EQUIPMENT - HIGH PRESSURE with an angle of 30 to 45 degrees to the surface.
(b) Make sure that the distance between the nozzle of the CLEANING EQUIPMENT - HIGH PRESSURE and the surface is more than 250 mm (9.8425 in.).
(c) Do not apply more than 80 bar (1160.3016 psi) water pressure to the structure.
(d) Do not apply more than 2 bar (29.0075 psi) water pressure to the composite materials.
(4) Dry the area with a HOT AIR BLOWER OPERATING 40 DEG C(104 F).
(5) If necessary repair the corroded areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-74-11-300-001).
