Subtask 49-51-00-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Deactivation
(1) Make sure that the Bleed Control Valve position-indicator on the valve body shows the SURGE OPEN/LOAD CLOSED position.
(2) If the Bleed Control Valve position-indicator shows the SURGE OPEN/LOAD OPEN position:
(a) Remove the Air By-Pass Duct (Ref. AMM TASK 49-51-42-000-003) to get access to the butterfly valve of the Bleed Control Valve.
(b) Manually push the butterfly valve to the closed position.
(3) Disconnect the Bleed-Control Valve (BCV) electrical-connector (P33).
(4) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connector of the BCV.
(5) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the (P33) harness electrical connector.
(6) Secure the plug (P33) with TIE WRAP to aircraft structure.
(7) Make sure that you put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons that the Bleed Control Valve is deactivated and the APU cannot supply bleed air.
(8) Make an entry in the logbook.
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that the Bleed Control Valve position-indicator on the valve body shows the SURGE OPEN/LOAD CLOSED position.
NOTE: If the force to manually push the butterfly valve is too high, release the fuel pressure in the Bleed Control Valve servovalve.
(c) Install the Air By-Pass Duct (Ref. AMM TASK 49-51-42-400-003).(3) Disconnect the Bleed-Control Valve (BCV) electrical-connector (P33).
NOTE: When the APU bleed control-valve is deactivated:
- The position indicator on the valve body is in the SURGE OPEN/LOAD CLOSED position. You can ignore the ECAM display which shows OPEN position.
- You can ignore the Class 1 Fault BCV LVDT during compensation (FC138). It will no longer be shown after you disconnect and connect again the ECB.
