A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7) Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the on position.
Subtask 49-31-42-865-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

A. Installation of the Nozzles and Manifold
(1) Remove all the blanking caps.
(2) Install the new AIPC 49-31-04-50-090 GASKETS (1) or AIPC 49-31-84-20-090 GASKETS (1) on the nozzles (2).
(a) Make sure that the polarizing spigot pin is correctly aligned with the mating flat-part location on the combustor-casing mount boss (5).
(3) Install the nozzles (2) with the new gasket (1) in the combustor-casing mount boss (5).
(4) Apply Lubricant-Anti Seize High Temp. - (Material No.03PBB1) to the bolts (3).
(5) Install the bolts (3) and secure the nozzles (2).
(6) TORQUE the bolts (3) to between 0.63 and 0.57 m.daN (55.75 and 50.44 lbf.in )
(7) Connect the manifold nuts (4) to the nozzles (2).
(8) TORQUE the manifold nuts (4) to between 1.19 and 1.07 m.daN (105.31 and 94.69 lbf.in )

(9) Install the clamps (7) with the bolts (6) and nuts (8).
(10) TORQUE the nuts (8) to between 0.63 and 0.57 m.daN (55.75 and 50.44 lbf.in )
(11) Connect the manifold connector (9) to the fuel flow divider, torque to the same value as in step (8).
Subtask 49-31-42-865-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove all the blanking caps.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Test
(1) Start the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005).
(a) Operate the APU for min. five minutes and examine the joints of the main fuel nozzles and the manifold for leaks.
5. Close-up(1) Start the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005).

NOTE: Leaks are not permitted.
Subtask 49-31-42-410-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 49-31-42-860-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
