A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (3) On the FUEL overhead panel 40VU, make sure that all L TK PUMPS and the R TK PUMPS pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).

C. Get Access
   (1) Open the LH main landing-gear (MLG) door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (2) Put the STEPLADDER 2.0 M (6.6 FT) in position at the LH MLG door.

A. Operational Test of the APU Fuel Low Pressure Circuit
NOTE: You can feel with your hand when the APU fuel pump operates.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the ECAM control panel:
  • push the APU pushbutton switch.
On the lower ECAM display unit:
  • the APU page comes into view.
2.On the FUEL overhead panel 40VU:
  • push the L TK PUMPS 1 pushbutton switch.
On the FUEL overhead panel 40VU:
  • the OFF legend in the L TK PUMPS 1 pushbutton switch goes off.
3.Start and operate the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-008).
NOTE: Operate the APU with no electric and/or pneumatic load.
At the APU fuel pump 4QC on the FR42/ZONE 140:
  • the APU fuel pump is off.
4.On the FUEL overhead panel 40VU:
  • release the L TK PUMPS 1 pushbutton switch.
On the FUEL overhead panel 40VU:
  • the OFF legend in the L TK PUMPS 1 pushbutton switch comes on.

At the APU fuel pump 4QC on the FR42/ZONE 140:
  • the APU fuel pump operates.
5.On the circuit breaker panel 49VU:
  • open the circuit breaker APU/FUEL/BLOW OFF/PUMP 2QC.
    On the circuit breaker panel 121VU:
  • open the circuit breaker APU/FUEL/BLOW OFF/CTL 1QC.
At the APU fuel pump 4QC on the FR42/ZONE 140:
  • the APU fuel pump stops.

On the lower ECAM display unit:
  • the FUEL LO PR message comes on (after a short time).
NOTE: It is possible, that an APU AUTO SHUTDOWN occurs.
6.Do the APU shutdown (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
On the lower ECAM display unit:
  • the FUEL LO PR message goes off.
NOTE: The ECB (59KD) stores the fault message LOW FUEL PRESSURE CHECK APU FUEL SUPPLY (class 2).
7.On the circuit breaker panel 49VU:
  • close the circuit breaker APU/FUEL/BLOW OFF/PUMP 2QC.
    On the circuit breaker panel 121VU:
  • close the circuit breaker APU/FUEL/BLOW OFF/CTL 1QC.

8.On the APU section of the overhead panel 25VU:
  • push the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch to the on position.
On the APU section of the overhead panel 25VU:
  • the ON legend in the APU MASTER SW comes on.

At the APU fuel pump 4QC on the FR42/ZONE 140:
  • the APU fuel pump operates.
9.On the APU section of the overhead panel 25VU:
  • release the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch to the off position.
On the APU section of the overhead panel 25VU:
  • the ON legend in the APU MASTER SW goes off.

At the APU fuel pump 4QC on the FR42/ZONE 140:
  • the APU fuel pump stops.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the stepladder from the LH MLG door.
   (3) Close the LH MLG door. (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001)

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the ECAM control panel, set the UPPER DISPLAY and LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to OFF.
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
