A. Removal of the PRV
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Disconnect the indicating tube (12) from the ECS Y-Duct (10) and the High Pressure Valve (HPV) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-000-831).
(5) Disconnect the ECS harness-assembly connector (2) from the PRV (11).
(6) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Disconnect the PRV muscle sense-tube (3) from the PRV (11) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-000-831).
(8) Record the position of the V-band couplings (6) and (8) before you remove them.
(9) Hold the PRV (11) and remove the two V-band couplings (6) and (8).
(11) Remove the PRV (11) from the engine.
(12) Remove and discard the seals (5) and (9).
(13) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(14) Put the PLUG - BLANKING on all the openings of the PRV (11).
(15) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(3) Disconnect the muscle sense tube (1) from the Environmental Control System (ECS) Y-duct (10) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-000-831).
NOTE: The V-band couplings (6) and (8) attach the PRV (11) to the ECS Y-duct (10) and the ECS pylon duct (4).
(10) Move the ECS Y-duct (10) and the ECS pylon duct (4) a small distance to get a clearance between them.
