MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits

B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (OFF legend on).
(b) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
(c) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
(3) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
(4) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
(5) On access door 191DB, on the HP ground connector:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
Subtask 36-11-49-865-209-A (1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.

YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for nacelle maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807). F. Get Access
(1) Open the right thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

A. Removal of the Indicating Tubes on the ECS Ducts
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in the ambient conditions.
PRE SPOL BD-EBU-20001 & SPOL BD-EBU-20002 and PRE SB BD70CR36-041 & PRE SPOL BD-EBU-20003
(4) Remove the indicating tube (4) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (4) from the ECS Y-duct (23).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (4) from the pylon (22).
(c) Remove the bolts (13) and (16) that attach the P-clamps (12) and (20) to the support brackets (21) and (19).
(d) Remove the bolt (2) that attaches the P-clamp (3) to the support bracket (28) on the ECS duct (6).
(e) Remove the indicating tube (4) from the engine.
(f) Record the position and the location of the P-clamps (3), (12) and (20) on the indicating tube (4) for the installation procedure.
(g) Remove the P-clamps (3), (12) and (20) from the indicating tube (4).
(h) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.

(5) Remove the indicating tube (4) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (4) from the ECS Y-duct (23).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (4) from the flex tube (44).
(c) Remove the bolts (13) and (16) that attach the P-clamps (12) and (20) to the support brackets (21) and (19).
(d) Remove the bolt (2) that attaches the P-clamp (3) to the support bracket (28) on the ECS duct (6).
(e) Remove the indicating tube (4) from the engine.
(f) Record the position and location of the P-clamps (3), (12) and (20) on the indicating tube (4) for the installation procedure.
(g) Remove the P-clamps (3), (12) and (20) from the indicating tube (4).
(h) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.
(6) Remove the flex tube (44) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the flex tube (44) from the pylon (22).
(b) Remove the flex tube (44) from the engine.
(c) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.

(7) Remove the indicating tube (8) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (8) from the ECS duct (6).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (8) from the pylon (22).
(c) Remove the bolts (14) and (17) that attach the P-clamps (15) and (18) to the support brackets (21) and (19).
(d) Remove the indicating tube (8) from the engine.
(e) Record the position and location of the P-clamps (15) and (18) on the indicating tube (8) for the installation procedure.
(f) Remove the P-clamps (15) and (18) from the indicating tube (8).
(g) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.

(8) Remove the indicating tube (8) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (8) from the ECS duct (6).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (8) from the flex tube (45).
(c) Remove the bolts (14) and (17) that attach the P-clamps (15) and (18) to the support brackets (21) and (19).
(d) Remove the indicating tube (8) from the engine.
(e) Record the position and the location of the P-clamps (15) and (18) on the indicating tube (8) for the installation procedure.
(f) Remove the P-clamps (15) and (18) from the indicating tube (8).
(g) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.
(9) Remove the flex tube (45) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the flex tube (45) from the pylon (22).
(b) Remove the flex tube (45) from the engine.
(c) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.

(10) Remove the support bracket (21) as follows:
(a) Remove the bolts (37) that attach the support bracket (21).
(b) Remove the support bracket (21) from the engine.

(11) Remove the support bracket (19) as follows:
(a) Remove the harness (34) from the spring clip on the support bracket (19).
(b) Remove the bolt (36) and the P-clamp (35) from the flange (32).
(c) Remove the bolts (38) that attach the support bracket (19).
(d) Remove the support bracket (19) together with the flange (32) from the engine.
(e) Remove the bolts (33) to remove the flange (32) from the support bracket (19).
(f) Safety the flange (32). It is necessary for the installation procedure.

(12) Remove the support bracket (19) as follows:
(a) Remove the bolts (33) that attach the support bracket (19) and the flange (39).
(b) Remove the support bracket (19) from the engine.
(c) Safety the flange (39) in its position with the zip-ties temporarily.

(13) Remove the indicating tube (7) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (7) from the ECS duct (6).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (7) from the Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV) (5).
(c) If necessary, remove the PRV (5) to get access to the indicating tube (7) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-52-000-804).
(d) Remove the bolt (1) that attaches the P-clamp (9) to the support bracket (28) on the ECS duct (6).
(e) Remove the bolt (29) that attaches the support bracket (28) to the ECS duct (6).
(f) Remove the support bracket (28) from the engine.
(g) Remove the indicating tube (7) from the engine.
(h) Record the position and location of the P-clamp (9) on the indicating tube (7) for the installation procedure.
(i) Remove the P-clamp (9) from the indicating tube (7).
(j) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.
PRE SPOL BD-EBU-18003 AND PRE SB BD70CR36-036
(14) Remove the indicating tube (10) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (10) from the High Pressure Valve (HPV) (24).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (10) from the ECS Y-duct (23).
(c) Remove the bolt (27) that attaches the P-clamp (26) to the support bracket (25).
(d) If necessary, remove the ECS Y-duct (23) to get access to the indicating tube (10) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-000-827).
(e) Remove the indicating tube (10) from the engine.
(f) Record the position and the location of the P-clamp (26) on the indicating tube (10) for the installation procedure.
(g) Remove the P-clamp (26) from the indicating tube (10).
(h) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.

(15) Remove the indicating tube (10) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (10) from the HPV (24).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (10) from the ECS Y-duct (23).
(c) Remove the bolt (40) that attaches the P-clamp (26) to the support bracket (43).
(d) Remove the indicating tube (10) from the engine.
(e) Record the position and the location of the P-clamp (26) on the indicating tube (10) for the installation procedure.
(f) Remove the P-clamp (26) from the indicating tube (10).
(g) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.
(h) Remove the bolt (27) from the support bracket (25).
(i) If necessary, remove the ECS Y-duct (23) to get access to the bolt (27) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-000-827).

(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
(2) Make sure that you wait for a minimum of 5 minutes until there is no pressure in the bleed-air duct system.WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(3) In the cockpit, on the SD bleed page:(a) Make sure that the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in the ambient conditions.
PRE SPOL BD-EBU-20001 & SPOL BD-EBU-20002 and PRE SB BD70CR36-041 & PRE SPOL BD-EBU-20003
(4) Remove the indicating tube (4) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (4) from the ECS Y-duct (23).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (4) from the pylon (22).
(c) Remove the bolts (13) and (16) that attach the P-clamps (12) and (20) to the support brackets (21) and (19).
(d) Remove the bolt (2) that attaches the P-clamp (3) to the support bracket (28) on the ECS duct (6).
(e) Remove the indicating tube (4) from the engine.
(f) Record the position and the location of the P-clamps (3), (12) and (20) on the indicating tube (4) for the installation procedure.
(g) Remove the P-clamps (3), (12) and (20) from the indicating tube (4).
(h) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.

(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (4) from the ECS Y-duct (23).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (4) from the flex tube (44).
(c) Remove the bolts (13) and (16) that attach the P-clamps (12) and (20) to the support brackets (21) and (19).
(d) Remove the bolt (2) that attaches the P-clamp (3) to the support bracket (28) on the ECS duct (6).
(e) Remove the indicating tube (4) from the engine.
(f) Record the position and location of the P-clamps (3), (12) and (20) on the indicating tube (4) for the installation procedure.
(g) Remove the P-clamps (3), (12) and (20) from the indicating tube (4).
(h) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.
(6) Remove the flex tube (44) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the flex tube (44) from the pylon (22).
(b) Remove the flex tube (44) from the engine.
(c) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.

(d) Remove the indicating tube (8) from the engine.
(e) Record the position and location of the P-clamps (15) and (18) on the indicating tube (8) for the installation procedure.
(f) Remove the P-clamps (15) and (18) from the indicating tube (8).
(g) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.

(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (8) from the ECS duct (6).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (8) from the flex tube (45).
(c) Remove the bolts (14) and (17) that attach the P-clamps (15) and (18) to the support brackets (21) and (19).
(d) Remove the indicating tube (8) from the engine.
(e) Record the position and the location of the P-clamps (15) and (18) on the indicating tube (8) for the installation procedure.
(f) Remove the P-clamps (15) and (18) from the indicating tube (8).
(g) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.
(9) Remove the flex tube (45) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the flex tube (45) from the pylon (22).
(b) Remove the flex tube (45) from the engine.
(c) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.

(10) Remove the support bracket (21) as follows:
(a) Remove the bolts (37) that attach the support bracket (21).
(b) Remove the support bracket (21) from the engine.

(11) Remove the support bracket (19) as follows:
(a) Remove the harness (34) from the spring clip on the support bracket (19).

(13) Remove the indicating tube (7) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (7) from the ECS duct (6).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (7) from the Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV) (5).
(c) If necessary, remove the PRV (5) to get access to the indicating tube (7) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-52-000-804).
(d) Remove the bolt (1) that attaches the P-clamp (9) to the support bracket (28) on the ECS duct (6).
(e) Remove the bolt (29) that attaches the support bracket (28) to the ECS duct (6).
(f) Remove the support bracket (28) from the engine.
(g) Remove the indicating tube (7) from the engine.
(h) Record the position and location of the P-clamp (9) on the indicating tube (7) for the installation procedure.
(i) Remove the P-clamp (9) from the indicating tube (7).
(j) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.

(14) Remove the indicating tube (10) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (10) from the High Pressure Valve (HPV) (24).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (10) from the ECS Y-duct (23).
(c) Remove the bolt (27) that attaches the P-clamp (26) to the support bracket (25).
(d) If necessary, remove the ECS Y-duct (23) to get access to the indicating tube (10) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-000-827).
(e) Remove the indicating tube (10) from the engine.
(f) Record the position and the location of the P-clamp (26) on the indicating tube (10) for the installation procedure.
(g) Remove the P-clamp (26) from the indicating tube (10).
(h) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.

(15) Remove the indicating tube (10) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the indicating tube (10) from the HPV (24).
(b) Disconnect the indicating tube (10) from the ECS Y-duct (23).
(c) Remove the bolt (40) that attaches the P-clamp (26) to the support bracket (43).
(d) Remove the indicating tube (10) from the engine.
(e) Record the position and the location of the P-clamp (26) on the indicating tube (10) for the installation procedure.
(f) Remove the P-clamp (26) from the indicating tube (10).
(g) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.
(h) Remove the bolt (27) from the support bracket (25).
(i) If necessary, remove the ECS Y-duct (23) to get access to the bolt (27) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-000-827).
