A. Installation of the Sense Line between the Pylon Interface and the Duct Assy
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Remove the plug from the duct assy (1).
(6) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(7) Put the sense line (2) in position between the pylon interface (3) and the duct assy (1).
(8) Install the washers (4) and the screws (5) on the pylon interface (3).
(9) Tighten the screws (5).
(10) Carefully apply anti-galling compound (Material No.V10-031) to the threads of the union before you connect the sense line (2).
(11) Connect the sense line (2) to the port of the duct assy (1).
.
(13) Put the half clamps (9) in position on the sense lines.
(14) Install the covers (8), the screw (7) and the nut (10).
(15) Tighten the nut (10).
(16) Connect the sense line (6) to the sense line (2).
.

(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(4) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Remove the plug from the duct assy (1).
(6) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(7) Put the sense line (2) in position between the pylon interface (3) and the duct assy (1).

. B. Prepare for the Leak Test
(1) Do the steps that follow to install FOIL - ALUMINUM on the sense line connections on the duct assy and on the pylon interface:
Subtask 36-11-49-790-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do the steps that follow to install FOIL - ALUMINUM on the sense line connections on the duct assy and on the pylon interface:
- Wind the foil wrap around the joint one time.
- Twist the seam of the foil wrap tight.
- Make the foil wrap as tight as possible on the tube but do not cause damage to the wrap.
- Attach the foil wrap at the two sides of the pneumatic joint with lockwire (Material No.V02-147) .
C. Leak Test
(1) Pressurize the bleed system through the HP ground connector (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-002) or with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-001).
(a) Make sure that there are no leaks at the sense line connections and at the plug of the pylon interface.
5. Close-up(1) Pressurize the bleed system through the HP ground connector (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-002) or with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-001).
(a) Make sure that there are no leaks at the sense line connections and at the plug of the pylon interface.
NOTE: There is a leak when the foil installed on the pneumatic connection breaks or when it is too hot.
