A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the special precautions when you work on a gaseous oxygen system (Ref. AMM TASK 35-00-00-860-001).
(2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that the CIDS system is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(4) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead panel 21VU, put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the emergency oxygen system.

(2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits

C. Get Access
(1) On all emergency oxygen containers, do step (a) and/or step (b) as applicable:
(a) Pull out the test button with your fingers. Then turn 90 degrees to the TEST position.
(b) Push the left side of the test button on the door assembly.

(a) Pull out the test button with your fingers. Then turn 90 degrees to the TEST position.

NOTE: The over-center spring keeps the lever of the test button at 90 degrees to the door surface. The lever of the test button must stay in this position until you set it to the initial position.
(c) Open access doors 812 and 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002). D. Connection of the Ground Pressure Equipment
(1) Do not disconnect electrical connection from altitude pressure switch 16WR (1).
(2) Connect the VACUUM EQUIPMENT 0 TO 1 BAR (15 PSI) to the connector (3) of altitude pressure switch 16WR with the 98A35207599000 HOSE-ADAPTER,ALTITUDE SWITCH (2).
4. Procedure(1) Do not disconnect electrical connection from altitude pressure switch 16WR (1).
(2) Connect the VACUUM EQUIPMENT 0 TO 1 BAR (15 PSI) to the connector (3) of altitude pressure switch 16WR with the 98A35207599000 HOSE-ADAPTER,ALTITUDE SWITCH (2).

A. Disconnection of the Ground Service Equipment
(1) Disconnect the VACUUM EQUIPMENT 0 TO 1 BAR (15 PSI) and the 98A35207599000 HOSE-ADAPTER,ALTITUDE SWITCH (2) from altitude pressure switch 16WR.

B. Close Access
(1) On all emergency oxygen containers:
(a) Close the doors of the emergency oxygen containers.
2 Push the door of the emergency oxygen container, at both sides of the test button, to lock the latch mechanism.
3 Make sure that the door is flush with the adjacent panels.
4 Do step (b) and/or step (c) as applicable.
(b) Turn the test buttons 90 degrees to normal position.
(c) Push the test buttons back to the normal position and let them retract into their containers.
(3) Close access door 812 and 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
Subtask 35-23-00-862-051-A (1) On all emergency oxygen containers:
(a) Close the doors of the emergency oxygen containers.
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE TOO MUCH FORCE TO CLOSE THE EMERGENCY OXYGEN CONTAINER. IF YOU USE TOO MUCH FORCE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE LATCH MECHANISM. IF THE LATCH MECHANISM DOES NOT ENGAGE EASILY, MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT IN THE EMERGENCY OXYGEN CONTAINER IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED.
1 Push the door of the emergency oxygen container to the closed position. 2 Push the door of the emergency oxygen container, at both sides of the test button, to lock the latch mechanism.
3 Make sure that the door is flush with the adjacent panels.
4 Do step (b) and/or step (c) as applicable.
(b) Turn the test buttons 90 degrees to normal position.
NOTE: Spring tension will retract the test buttons automatically when they are in the normal position.
(c) Push the test buttons back to the normal position and let them retract into their containers.

(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.(3) Close access door 812 and 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead panel 21VU:
(a) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
