A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Installation of the CLEDU

F Cabin LED Unit (CLEDU) ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS. THE OILS FROM YOUR SKIN WILL QUICKLY CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE LAMP. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS, CLEAN IT WITH A LINT-FREE CLOTH.
   (1) Put the CLEDU (1) in the correct position on the aircraft structure and engage the brackets (3).
   (2) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
WARNING: WHEN YOU CONNECT/DISCONNECT THE CLEDU ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS, YOU MUST PUSH THE BUTTON ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS TO CONNECT/DISCONNECT THEM. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (3) Connect the electrical connector (2).
   (4) If necessary attach the electrical wire with TIE WRAP(S).

B. Installation of the CLEDU/mCLEDU
WARNING: WHEN YOU CONNECT/DISCONNECT THE CLEDU ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS, YOU MUST PUSH THE BUTTON ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS TO CONNECT/DISCONNECT THEM. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS. THE OILS FROM YOUR SKIN WILL QUICKLY CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE LAMP. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS, CLEAN IT WITH A LINT-FREE CLOTH.
   (1) For CLEDU:
     (a) Put the CLEDU (1) in the correct position on the aircraft structure and engage the brackets (3).
     (b) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (c) Connect the electrical connector (2).
     (d) If necessary, attach the electrical wires with the TIE WRAP(S).
   (2) For mCLEDU:
     (a) Put the mCLEDU (4) in the correct position on the aircraft structure and engage the brackets (6).
     (b) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (c) Connect the electrical connector (5).
     (d) If necessary, attach the electrical wires with the TIE WRAP(S).

D. Preparation for the Test
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the cockpit door is closed and the engines are stopped.
   (3) Push the LIGHT MAIN ON/OFF membrane switch on the Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH.
   (4) Make sure that the indications on all of the BRT, DIM1, DIM2, WDO and CLG buttons on FAP 120RH are off.

E. Operational Test
   (1) Do this test of the entrance-Lights, window-lights and ceiling-lights:

  • Set the 'LIGHT' page.
  • All possible cabin lighting zones are shown.
  • Push the ENTRY/BRT button.
  • The ENTRY/BRT indication on the related button comes on.

In the cabin:
  • The related entrance light comes on.

On FAP 120RH:
  • Push the ENTRY/DIM1 button.
  • The ENTRY/DIM1 indication on the related button comes on.

In the cabin:
  • The related entrance light intensity decreases.

On FAP 120RH:
  • Push the ENTRY/DIM2 button.
  • The ENTRY/DIM2 indication on the related button comes on.

In the cabin:
  • The related entrance light intensity decreases again.

On FAP 120RH:
  • Push the ENTRY/DIM2 button again.
  • The ENTRY/DIM2 indication on the related button goes off.

In the cabin:
  • The related entrance light goes off.
2.For the window or ceiling lighting:

  • Push the BRT button.
  • The BRT indication on the related button comes on.

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) For the ceiling CLEDU:
     (a) Install the related ceiling panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-400-001).
   (3) For the ceiling mCLEDU:
     (a)
F Upper mCLEDU Cover ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
       1 Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area of the upper mCLEDU cover (1) and on the top of the OHSC (3) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
       2 Put a Adhesive Tape-Hook Loop Flame Retardant Hook (Material No.05TFB2) and a Adhesive Tape-Hook Loop Flame Retardant Loop (Material No.05TFB4) (2) on the upper mCLEDU cover (1) and the top of the OHSC (3).
       3 Install the upper mCLEDU cover (1) on the top of the OHSC (3) in its position and lightly push it.
   (4) For the window mCLEDU:
   (5) Remove the stepladder.

B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
