A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position for not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton-switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 30-21-49-865-136-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Nacelle Maintenance
Subtask 30-21-49-010-182-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for nacelle maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807).E. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)
451AL and 452AR.
(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)
461AL and 462AR.
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
(3) Installation of the protection covers:

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
(3) Installation of the protection covers:
CAUTION:
INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(a) Make sure that the COVER - PROTECTION are in position to prevent damage to the engine. Subtask 30-21-49-820-062-A
A. Adjustment of the Anti-Ice Duct Support Link
(2) Remove the safety cable (1) and discard it.
(3) Loosen the support link locknut (2).
(4) Turn the support-link end shank (3) in increments of 180 deg (180 deg) to the necessary length. Make sure that:
(a) The length of the support link is not more than the maximum limit.
(b) You can see two to five threads after the locknut.
(c) You can see the threads in the witness hole.
(5) TORQUE the locknut (2) to between 126 and 114 lbf.in (1.42 and 1.29 m.daN )

(6) Install theCPNCL02691 LOCKWIRE (M50 TF 9 CI-A-DIA 0.8 mm (0.031 in.)) or CPNCL02150 Lockwire A (AIA/NAS NASM20995C32) or SAFETY CABLE KIT AS3510-0218K (Material No.CPNCL02774) or CPNCL02145 Wire - LOCKWIRE STAINLSS STL ANNEALED 0.8 mm (0.031 in.) DIA .
(7) Install the support link (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-49-400-808).
5. Close-upNOTE: This procedure is applicable for the support links where the adjustment is necessary in (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-49-400-808) or (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-51-400-805).
(1) Remove the support link that is necessary for adjustment (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-49-000-808).(2) Remove the safety cable (1) and discard it.
(3) Loosen the support link locknut (2).
(4) Turn the support-link end shank (3) in increments of 180 deg (180 deg) to the necessary length. Make sure that:
(a) The length of the support link is not more than the maximum limit.
