D. Preparation for the Test
   (1) Remove the blanking cap from the ground connector for the pressurization of reservoirs on the reservoir pressurization unit 1360GM.
   (2) Connect the 98D29003501000 FILL UNIT-AIR PRESSURIZING TOOL, HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR or 98D29003501003 FILL UNIT - AIR to the ground connector on the reservoir pressurization unit 1360GM.
NOTE: If the pressurizing tool is not available, you can use an alternative supply of air. The supply must have a pressure of 5 bar (72.5189 psi) and it must have a filter. The filter must have a rating of 5 microns or better.
As alternative to the air source, you can use the nitrogen source with 97A29102035000 CONNECTOR-PRESSURIZING,HYDRAULIC TANK.
   (3) A supply approximately 40 l (10.5668 USgal) of Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) is necessary. You can use:
  • An approved ALT29000001 HYD GRND PWR UNIT3000
  • The hand pump 1009GM of the reservoir filling system which is part of the aircraft equipment.
     (a) To connect the hydraulic ground-service cart to the aircraft:
1 On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system, remove the blanking cap from the reservoir fill connection 1007GM.
2 Connect the hose of the hydraulic ground-service cart to the reservoir fill connection.
     (b) If no hydraulic ground-service cart is available, connect the hand pump 1009GM as follows:
1 Remove the blanking cap from the reservoir fill valve 1698GM on the hand pump 1009GM.
2 Get the flexible hose 1699GM from its stowage in the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
3 Connect the flexible hose to the reservoir fill valve.
4 Put the other end of the flexible hose in a container of clean hydraulic fluid.

6 Connect the hand pump lever to the hand pump 1009GM.
7 Extend the hand pump lever.
   (4) Connect a HOSE - HYDRAULIC, LOW PESSURE with a 9/16-18 UNJF female adapter to the drain valve of the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system.
   (5) Put the free end of the hose into the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT.
   (6) Look at the quantity indicator of the three reservoirs and write down the quantity of hydraulic fluid in each reservoir.
   (7) Set the ground connector on the reservoir pressurization unit 1360GM to OPEN.
   (8) Fill the reservoirs with air to a pressure of 50 psig (refer to the gages on the reservoirs to find the air pressure). Keep the supply of air constant until the pressure in the reservoirs is always more than 35 psig (2.5 bar). If the air supply is not constant, the pressure decreases when you drain the fluid from the reservoirs.
