(2) Put the eye-end (34) and the leg assembly (11) in the correct position and install the bolt (21) with the washers (20), (32).
(3) Install the nut (33) on the bolt (21) but do not tighten the nut (33) at this time.
(4) Align the trunnion with the hole for the support bearing (62).
(5) Put the support bearing (62) through its hole in the structure (1) and on the trunnion shaft (75).
(6) Install the bolts (60) with the washers (61) and the nuts (63).
(7) Make sure that the end of the trunnion shaft (75) is in the correct position.
(8) Put the forked bearing (72) through its hole in the structure (1) and on the trunnion shaft (75).
(9) Install the bush (102), the bolt (73) and the nut (78).
(10) Put the safety plate (74) in position on the structure (1).
(11) Install the bolts (70) with the washers (71) and the nuts (76).
(12) Put the support plate (80) in position on the structure (1).
(13) Install the screws (82) with the washers (81).
(14) TORQUE the nut (33) to between 5.29 and 4.74 m.daN (39.01 and 34.96 lbf.ft )

(16) Apply the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the line end-fittings.
(17) Remove the blanking caps from the ports (51) and (55).
(18) Put the hydraulic-pipe (91) in position.
(19) Attach the union nuts (50) to the ports (51).
(20) TORQUE the union nuts (50) to between 10.7 and 9.7 m.daN (78.91 and 71.53 lbf.ft )

(21) Put the hydraulic-pipe (92) in position.
(22) Attach the union nuts (54) to the ports (55).
(23) TORQUE the union nut (54) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )

(24) Connect the hose (85) with the leakage drain line (87).
(25) Safety the hose with a TIE WRAP(S) (86).
(26) Install the screw (46) together with the washer (47) and the bonding strap (48) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(27) Install the swivel pin (29), the washer (90) and the distance fork (23) in the leg assembly (11).
(28) Install the bush (15), the bush (19), the bush (24) and the flanged bush (30) in the distance fork (23) and the swivel pin (29).
(29) Install the door links:
(b) Install the bolt (26), the washers (18), (25) and the nut (17).
(c) Tighten the nut (17) and safety it with a new AIPC 29-22-03-02-118 COTTER PIN (16) or AIPC 29-22-83-02-120 COTTER PIN (16).
(d) Put the outer door link (31) in position between the forks of the swivel pin (29).
(e) Install the bolt (27) together with the washers (28), (14) and the nut (13).
(f) Tighten the nut (13) and safety it with a new AIPC 29-22-03-02-118 COTTER PIN (12) or AIPC 29-22-83-02-120 COTTER PIN (12).
(g) Make sure that the inner door link (22) and the outer door link (31) are correctly connected to the RAT doors:
1 Refer to the labels on the inner side of the RAT doors for the correct connection data.
(30) Put the cable (40) with the P-clips (43) in position on the structure of the RAT stowage compartment.
(31) Attach the P-clips (43) in the RAT stowage compartment with the screws (41), the washers (42) and the spacers (44).
(32) Install the bonding lead (93) with the washer (94) and the screw (95) at the RAT actuator (10).
(33) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (2) and (53).
(34) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical receptacles (3) and (52).
(35) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(37) Connect the electrical connectors (98), (99), (100) and (101) to the RAT actuator (10).
(38) Put the protection cover (4) in the correct position at the RAT compartment (96).
(39) Tighten the screws (5) in the quick-release fasteners (6).
(40) Install the screw (97) in the protective cover (4).

(2) Put the eye-end (34) and the leg assembly (11) in the correct position and install the bolt (21) with the washers (20), (32).
(3) Install the nut (33) on the bolt (21) but do not tighten the nut (33) at this time.
(4) Align the trunnion with the hole for the support bearing (62).
(5) Put the support bearing (62) through its hole in the structure (1) and on the trunnion shaft (75).
(6) Install the bolts (60) with the washers (61) and the nuts (63).
(7) Make sure that the end of the trunnion shaft (75) is in the correct position.
(8) Put the forked bearing (72) through its hole in the structure (1) and on the trunnion shaft (75).
(9) Install the bush (102), the bolt (73) and the nut (78).
(10) Put the safety plate (74) in position on the structure (1).
(11) Install the bolts (70) with the washers (71) and the nuts (76).
(12) Put the support plate (80) in position on the structure (1).
(13) Install the screws (82) with the washers (81).
(14) TORQUE the nut (33) to between 5.29 and 4.74 m.daN (39.01 and 34.96 lbf.ft )

(16) Apply the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the line end-fittings.
(17) Remove the blanking caps from the ports (51) and (55).
(18) Put the hydraulic-pipe (91) in position.
(19) Attach the union nuts (50) to the ports (51).
(20) TORQUE the union nuts (50) to between 10.7 and 9.7 m.daN (78.91 and 71.53 lbf.ft )

(21) Put the hydraulic-pipe (92) in position.
(22) Attach the union nuts (54) to the ports (55).
(23) TORQUE the union nut (54) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )

(b) Install the bolt (26), the washers (18), (25) and the nut (17).
(c) Tighten the nut (17) and safety it with the new AIPC 29-22-83-02-120 COTTER PIN (16) or the new AIPC 29-22-03-02-118 COTTER PIN (16).
(d) Put the outer door link (31) in position between the forks of the swivel pin (29).
(e) Install the bolt (27) with the washers (28), (14) and the nut (13).
(f) Tighten the nut (13) and safety it with the new AIPC 29-22-83-02-120 COTTER PIN (12) or the new AIPC 29-22-03-02-118 COTTER PIN (12).

(2) Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

(4) Make sure that the left main landing-gear door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

(3) Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Make sure that the left main landing-gear door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(5) Make sure that the access door 195BB is open.
(6) Make sure that the access panel 147BB is open.

A. Preparation of the Ram Air Turbine before Installation
(1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(5) Apply the zinc chromate putty Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the shaft of the bolt (70) and the contact surface of the forked bearing (72).
(6) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) or the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) between the support and the forked bearing and the structure.
(7) Apply the Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Metallic Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03HBC1) to the swivel pin (29).

USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
CAUTION:
YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS LUBRICANT.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LIFT THE RAT BY THE TURBINE BLADES.
CAUTION:
DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE MICROSWITCHES AT THE TOP OF THE LEG ASSEMBLY.
B. Installation of the Ram Air Turbine 2GE NOTE: The turbine and the leg assembly weigh a total of approximately 36.1 kg (79.5869 lb).
(1) Lift the RAT in the installation position and align the eye-end (34) with the mounting on the leg assembly (11). (2) Put the eye-end (34) and the leg assembly (11) in the correct position and install the bolt (21) with the washers (20), (32).
(3) Install the nut (33) on the bolt (21) but do not tighten the nut (33) at this time.
(4) Align the trunnion with the hole for the support bearing (62).
(5) Put the support bearing (62) through its hole in the structure (1) and on the trunnion shaft (75).
(6) Install the bolts (60) with the washers (61) and the nuts (63).
(7) Make sure that the end of the trunnion shaft (75) is in the correct position.
(8) Put the forked bearing (72) through its hole in the structure (1) and on the trunnion shaft (75).
(9) Install the bush (102), the bolt (73) and the nut (78).

(15) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends. (16) Apply the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the line end-fittings.
(17) Remove the blanking caps from the ports (51) and (55).
(18) Put the hydraulic-pipe (91) in position.
(19) Attach the union nuts (50) to the ports (51).
(20) TORQUE the union nuts (50) to between 10.7 and 9.7 m.daN (78.91 and 71.53 lbf.ft )
. (21) Put the hydraulic-pipe (92) in position.
(22) Attach the union nuts (54) to the ports (55).
(23) TORQUE the union nut (54) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )
. (24) Connect the hose (85) with the leakage drain line (87).
(25) Safety the hose with a TIE WRAP(S) (86).
(26) Install the screw (46) together with the washer (47) and the bonding strap (48) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

(29) Install the door links:
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE RODS TO THE RAT DOOR. IF YOU DO NOT CONNECT THESE PARTS CORRECTLY, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE RODS, OR FAILURE OF THE RAT.
(a) Put the inner door link (22) in position on the related distance fork (23). (b) Install the bolt (26), the washers (18), (25) and the nut (17).
(c) Tighten the nut (17) and safety it with a new AIPC 29-22-03-02-118 COTTER PIN (16) or AIPC 29-22-83-02-120 COTTER PIN (16).
(d) Put the outer door link (31) in position between the forks of the swivel pin (29).
(e) Install the bolt (27) together with the washers (28), (14) and the nut (13).
(f) Tighten the nut (13) and safety it with a new AIPC 29-22-03-02-118 COTTER PIN (12) or AIPC 29-22-83-02-120 COTTER PIN (12).

(36) Connect the electrical connectors (2) and (53) to the receptacles (3) and (52). (37) Connect the electrical connectors (98), (99), (100) and (101) to the RAT actuator (10).
(38) Put the protection cover (4) in the correct position at the RAT compartment (96).
(39) Tighten the screws (5) in the quick-release fasteners (6).
(40) Install the screw (97) in the protective cover (4).
CAUTION:

(23) TORQUE the union nut (54) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )
. (24) Connect the hose (85) with the leakage drain line (87).
(25) Safety the hose with a TIE WRAP(S) (86).
(26) Install the screw (46) with the washer (47) and the bonding strap (48) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(27) Install the swivel pin (29), the washer (90) and the distance fork (23) in the leg assembly (11).
(28) Install the bush (15), the bush (19), the bush (24) and the flanged bush (30) in the distance fork (23) and the swivel pin (29).
(29) Installation of the door links.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE RODS TO THE RAT DOOR. IF YOU DO NOT CONNECT THESE PARTS CORRECTLY, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE RODS, OR FAILURE OF THE RAT.
(a) Put the inner door link (22) in position on the related distance fork (23). (b) Install the bolt (26), the washers (18), (25) and the nut (17).
(c) Tighten the nut (17) and safety it with the new AIPC 29-22-83-02-120 COTTER PIN (16) or the new AIPC 29-22-03-02-118 COTTER PIN (16).
(d) Put the outer door link (31) in position between the forks of the swivel pin (29).
(e) Install the bolt (27) with the washers (28), (14) and the nut (13).
(f) Tighten the nut (13) and safety it with the new AIPC 29-22-83-02-120 COTTER PIN (12) or the new AIPC 29-22-03-02-118 COTTER PIN (12).
(g) Make sure that the inner door link (22) and the outer door link (31) are correctly connected to the RAT doors:
1 Refer to the labels on the inner side of the RAT doors for the correct connection data.
(30) Put the cable (40) with the P-clips (43) in position on the structure of the RAT stowage compartment.
(31) Attach the P-clips (43) in the RAT stowage compartment with the screws (41), the washers (42) and the spacers (44).
(32) Install the bonding lead (93) with the washer (94) and the screw (95) at the RAT actuator (10).
(33) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (2) and (53).
(34) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical receptacles (3) and (52).
(35) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S).
(36) Connect the electrical connectors (2) and (53) to the receptacles (3) and (52). (37) Connect the electrical connectors (98), (99), (100) and (101) to the RAT actuator (10).
(38) Put the protection cover (4) in the correct position at the RAT compartment (96).
(39) Tighten the screws (5) in the quick-release fasteners (6).
(40) Install the screw (97) in the protective cover (4).
C. Make sure that the level of the fluid in the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
Subtask 29-22-51-865-096-A D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

E. Leak Test of the Hydraulic Connections of the Ram Air Turbine
(1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION from the turbine blades.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Pressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(4) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
(5) Examine the hydraulic connections of the RAT and make sure that there are no leaks.
Subtask 29-22-51-860-099-A (1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION from the turbine blades.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Pressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(4) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
(5) Examine the hydraulic connections of the RAT and make sure that there are no leaks.
F. Preparation for the Test
(1) Remove the container from below the hydraulic connections and discard any spilt fluid.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Retract the RAT (Ref. AMM TASK 29-22-00-869-006).

B. Close Access
(1) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) or the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) to the contact area of the sidewall panel (4).
(2) Put the sidewall panel (4) in position on the structure (1) and make sure that the holes align.
(3) Install the screws (5) together with the washers (6) in the sidewall panel (4).
(4) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) around the edges of the sidewall panel (4) and the bearings (62) and (72).
(5) After the sealant is dry, apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) around the edges of the sidewall panel (4) and the bearings (62) and (72).
(6) Install the access panels 147BB and 147CB.
(7) Close the left main landing-gear door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(8) Close the access door 195BB.
(9) Remove the safety barriers.
(1) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) or the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) to the contact area of the sidewall panel (4).
(2) Put the sidewall panel (4) in position on the structure (1) and make sure that the holes align.
(3) Install the screws (5) together with the washers (6) in the sidewall panel (4).
(4) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) around the edges of the sidewall panel (4) and the bearings (62) and (72).
(5) After the sealant is dry, apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) around the edges of the sidewall panel (4) and the bearings (62) and (72).
(6) Install the access panels 147BB and 147CB.
(7) Close the left main landing-gear door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(8) Close the access door 195BB.
(9) Remove the safety barriers.
