A. Get Access
   (1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the pitch controls.
   (2) Put the 98D27403500000 PITCH TRIM CONTROL LOCKING on the pitch-trim control wheel in the flight compartment.
   (3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position.
   (4) Open access door 312AR.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Pressurize the Yellow and the Green hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
   (3) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (4) On the center pedestal on the ECAM control panel, push the F/CTL pushbutton switch.
   (5) Make sure that on the lower display unit (DU) of the ECAM, the F/CTL page comes on.
4. Procedure
Subtask 27-44-51-710-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Operational Check of THS Actuator Electrical Load Sensing Device
   (1) Two persons are necessary: One person in the cockpit and one person at the THSA.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the panel 24VU:
  • make sure that the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch is in ON position.

2.On the L/H part of the upper ECAM DU:
  • make sure that there is no ELAC 2 PITCH FAULT Warning.

3.On the ELSD at the THSA:
  • unplug the test connector.
On the L/H part of the upper ECAM DU:
  • ELAC 2 PITCH FAULT warning comes into view.
4.On the panel 121VU:
  • open the C/B 95CE THS ACTR ELSD.

5.On the panel 24VU:
  • reset the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch.
On the panel 24VU:
  • the OFF legend of the ELAC 2 pushbutton switch comes on.
  • the OFF legend of the ELAC 2 pushbutton switch goes off.

On the L/H part of the upper ECAM DU:
  • ELAC 2 PITCH FAULT warning goes out of view.
6.On the panel 121VU:
  • close the C/B 95CE THS ACTR ELSD.
On the L/H part of the upper ECAM DU:
  • the ELAC 2 PITCH FAULT warning comes into view.
7.On the ELSD at the THSA:
  • plug the test connector.

8.On the panel 24VU:
  • reset the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch.
On the panel 24VU:
  • the OFF legend of the ELAC 2 pushbutton switch comes on.
  • the OFF legend of the ELAC 2 pushbutton switch goes off.

On the L/H part of the upper ECAM DU:
  • ELAC 2 PITCH FAULT warning goes out of view.
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Depressurize the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
   (2) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close access door 312AR.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the 98D27403500000 PITCH TRIM CONTROL LOCKING from the pitch-trim control wheel in the flight compartment.
   (5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
