A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the aircraft is in the same configuration as for the removal task.

Subtask 26-17-15-420-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Smoke Detector
(1) The procedure to install all the smoke detectors is the same. Thus, the procedure to install only one smoke detector is given here.
(2) Make sure that the packing (6) is serviceable and in the satisfactory condition.
(3) Carefully install the packing (6) with the smoke detector (5) on the air-extraction hood (8).
(4) Install the screws (9), the washers (3) (if applicable) and the nuts (2).
(5) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(7) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the smoke detector (5).
(8) Connect the hose (15) to the air-extraction hood and tighten the clamp (14) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-12-911-001).
(9) Carefully put the air extraction-hood (8) together with the smoke detector (5) in position on the ceiling panel (1) and install the screws (7).
Subtask 26-17-15-875-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) The procedure to install all the smoke detectors is the same. Thus, the procedure to install only one smoke detector is given here.
(2) Make sure that the packing (6) is serviceable and in the satisfactory condition.
(3) Carefully install the packing (6) with the smoke detector (5) on the air-extraction hood (8).
(4) Install the screws (9), the washers (3) (if applicable) and the nuts (2).
(5) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(7) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the smoke detector (5).
(8) Connect the hose (15) to the air-extraction hood and tighten the clamp (14) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-12-911-001).
(9) Carefully put the air extraction-hood (8) together with the smoke detector (5) in position on the ceiling panel (1) and install the screws (7).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Interface and Power-Up Test of the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS)
(1) Do the interface and power-up test of the CIDS through the centralized fault display-system (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-740-005).

E. Test of the Lavatory Smoke Detector
(1) Do an operational test of the lavatory smoke-detection system (Ref. AMM TASK 26-17-00-710-001).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the grill (13) and the air filter (12) into the air-extraction hood (8).
(3) Install the air-extraction grill (10) on the air-extraction hood (8) with the screws (11).

(2) Put the grill (13) and the air filter (12) into the air-extraction hood (8).

(3) Install the air-extraction grille (11) on the air-extraction hood (9) with the screws (12).
(4) Close the door of related lavatory (D, L or M).
