A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the aircraft is in the same configuration as for the removal task.

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 26-17-15-420-050-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Smoke Detector
(1) Make sure that the packing (6) is in the satisfactory condition.
(2) Carefully install the packing (6) with the smoke detector (5) on the air-extraction hood (8).
(3) Install the washers (3) (if applicable), the screws (9) and the nuts (2).
(4) Make sure that the packing (14) on the air-extraction pipe (15) is in the satisfactory condition.
(5) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(7) Connect the electrical connector 1WQ-A (4) to the smoke detector (5).
(8) Carefully put the air-extraction hood (8) together with the smoke detector (5) in position on the lavatory ceiling panel (1).
(9) Install the screws (7).
Subtask 26-17-15-865-082-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the packing (6) is in the satisfactory condition.
(2) Carefully install the packing (6) with the smoke detector (5) on the air-extraction hood (8).
(3) Install the washers (3) (if applicable), the screws (9) and the nuts (2).
(4) Make sure that the packing (14) on the air-extraction pipe (15) is in the satisfactory condition.
(5) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(7) Connect the electrical connector 1WQ-A (4) to the smoke detector (5).
(8) Carefully put the air-extraction hood (8) together with the smoke detector (5) in position on the lavatory ceiling panel (1).
(9) Install the screws (7).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Interface and Power-Up Test of the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS)
(1) Do the interface and power-up test of the CIDS through the centralized fault display-system (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-740-005).

D. BITE Test of the Smoke Detection Function (SDF)
(1) Do the BITE test of the SDF (system test) (Ref. AMM TASK 26-10-00-740-801).

E. Test of the Lavatory Smoke Detector
(1) Do the operational test of the lavatory smoke-detection system (Ref. AMM TASK 26-17-00-710-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do the operational test of the lavatory smoke-detection system (Ref. AMM TASK 26-17-00-710-001).
Subtask 26-17-15-410-050-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the grille (13) and the air filter (12) into the air-extraction hood (8).
(3) Install the air-extraction grille (10) on the air-extraction hood (8) with the screws (11).
(4) Close the door of lavatory A.
Subtask 26-17-15-862-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the grille (13) and the air filter (12) into the air-extraction hood (8).
(3) Install the air-extraction grille (10) on the air-extraction hood (8) with the screws (11).
(4) Close the door of lavatory A.
B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002) .
