A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the forward cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the opening of the forward cargo-compartment door.
(4) Make sure that the light switch is set to the 'ON' position.
(5) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position on the control panel of the forward cargo loading system to tell persons not to use it.
(6) Make sure that the forward cargo-compartment door actuator is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-000-001).
(7) Make sure that the related forward cargo compartment ceiling panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-002).
Subtask 25-54-12-865-079-A (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the forward cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the opening of the forward cargo-compartment door.

Subtask 25-54-12-910-055-A
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Do an inspection of the cylinder fairings (1).
(2) If necessary, repair the cylinder fairings (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-50-00-200-024).
(3) Do an inspection of the sealing tape (30) of the deflectors (7).
(4) Make sure that the sealing tape (30) is not missing.
(5) Replace the damaged sealing tape (30) on the deflectors (7):
(a) Remove the damaged Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) (30) from the deflectors (7).
(b) Clean the surfaces for the new sealing tape (30) with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(c) Apply the new sealing tape (30) Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) on the deflectors (7).
(6) Make sure that sealing tape (30) are installed without clearance.
(7) Do an inspection of the adjacent aircraft structure for damage.
(8) From the cabin, remove the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Smoother - (Material No.06AAE1) (29) from the rubber (28).
(9) Clean the surfaces for the new Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Smoother - (Material No.06AAE1) (29) with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(10) Apply the new Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Smoother - (Material No.06AAE1) (29) on the rubber (28).
(11) If the adjacent aircraft structure is damaged, repair it.
(12) Make sure that the contact areas of the panels at the adjacent aircraft structure are flat.
(13) Fill the clearances or the holes with the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) and make them flat.
(14) Make sure that that the contact aircraft surfaces continue to be flat when the sealant is applied and dry. Make them flat, if necessary.
(15) Make sure that the placards on the replaced or repaired components are in the correct positions and in good condition.
(16) If necessary, install new placards (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-010).
(17) Do a visual inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(18) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(19) Examine each panel for cracks and other damage.
Subtask 25-54-12-420-056-A (1) Do an inspection of the cylinder fairings (1).
(2) If necessary, repair the cylinder fairings (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-50-00-200-024).
(3) Do an inspection of the sealing tape (30) of the deflectors (7).
(4) Make sure that the sealing tape (30) is not missing.
(5) Replace the damaged sealing tape (30) on the deflectors (7):

(6) Make sure that sealing tape (30) are installed without clearance.
(7) Do an inspection of the adjacent aircraft structure for damage.
(8) From the cabin, remove the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Smoother - (Material No.06AAE1) (29) from the rubber (28).
(9) Clean the surfaces for the new Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Smoother - (Material No.06AAE1) (29) with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(10) Apply the new Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Smoother - (Material No.06AAE1) (29) on the rubber (28).
(11) If the adjacent aircraft structure is damaged, repair it.
(12) Make sure that the contact areas of the panels at the adjacent aircraft structure are flat.

(19) Examine each panel for cracks and other damage.
B. Installation of the Cylinder Fairings
(2) Move the connector panel (9) and the wiring harness (10) through the access hole (12) while you carefully rise the cylinder fairing (1).
(3) Put the cylinder fairings (1) in their correct installation positions.
(4) Install the washers (2) and the screws (8).
(5) Put the deflectors (7) in their correct installation positions.
(6) Install the washers (2) and the screws (3), (4), (5) and (6).
(7) Carefully put the hydraulic pipe (35) in its correct installation position in the cylinder fairing (1).
(8) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fitting of the pipe (35) is serviceable.
(9) Install the washer (34), the lock nut (33) and tighten the lock nut (33) with your hand.
(10) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the union nut (32).
(11) Make sure that the union nut (32) is serviceable.
(12) Apply the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the internal threads of the union nut (32).
(13) Install the union nut (32) to the line end-fitting of the pipe (35) and tighten the union nut (32) with your hand.

(15) TORQUE the lock nut (33) to between 1.32 and 1.21 m.daN (116.81 and 107.08 lbf.in )
.
(16) Put the connector panel (9) in its correct installation position.
(17) Install the screws (11).
(18) Install the bonding strap (26), the washers (25), the screw (27) and the nut (24) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(19) Disengage the wiring harness (21) from the forward cargo-compartment door.
(21) Put the wiring harness (10) and (21) in their correct installation positions on the clamp (23).
(22) Install the new AIPC 52-31-24-01-065 TIE WRAPS (22).
(23) Put the spacer (15), the clamp (16), the spacer (17) and the clamp (20) in position to the cylinder fairing (1).
(24) Install the washer (19) and the screw (18).
5. Close-upCAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
CAUTION:
YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS LUBRICANT.
(1) Remove the LOCALLY MANUFACTURED - BLANKING CAP from the hydraulic pipe (35). (2) Move the connector panel (9) and the wiring harness (10) through the access hole (12) while you carefully rise the cylinder fairing (1).
(3) Put the cylinder fairings (1) in their correct installation positions.
(4) Install the washers (2) and the screws (8).
(5) Put the deflectors (7) in their correct installation positions.
(6) Install the washers (2) and the screws (3), (4), (5) and (6).
(7) Carefully put the hydraulic pipe (35) in its correct installation position in the cylinder fairing (1).
(8) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fitting of the pipe (35) is serviceable.
(9) Install the washer (34), the lock nut (33) and tighten the lock nut (33) with your hand.
(10) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the union nut (32).
(11) Make sure that the union nut (32) is serviceable.
(12) Apply the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the internal threads of the union nut (32).
(13) Install the union nut (32) to the line end-fitting of the pipe (35) and tighten the union nut (32) with your hand.
CAUTION:
WHEN YOU TORQUE THE NUT, ALWAYS USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY A COUNTERTORQUE TO THE FITTING.
(14) TORQUE the union nut (32) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
. (15) TORQUE the lock nut (33) to between 1.32 and 1.21 m.daN (116.81 and 107.08 lbf.in )
. (16) Put the connector panel (9) in its correct installation position.
(17) Install the screws (11).
(18) Install the bonding strap (26), the washers (25), the screw (27) and the nut (24) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(19) Disengage the wiring harness (21) from the forward cargo-compartment door.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S).
(20) Connect the connector (14) to the receptacle (13). (21) Put the wiring harness (10) and (21) in their correct installation positions on the clamp (23).
(22) Install the new AIPC 52-31-24-01-065 TIE WRAPS (22).
(23) Put the spacer (15), the clamp (16), the spacer (17) and the clamp (20) in position to the cylinder fairing (1).
(24) Install the washer (19) and the screw (18).

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Install the forward cargo-compartment door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-400-001).
(2) Install the removed forward cargo compartment ceiling panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-002).
Subtask 25-54-12-865-080-A (1) Install the forward cargo-compartment door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-400-001).
(2) Install the removed forward cargo compartment ceiling panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-002).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Set the light switch to off.
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Set the light switch to off.
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
