A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position on the right side of the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the access panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-805):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Ground Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

D. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that left thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802) is open:
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
   (3) Make sure that the engine protection covers are installed.
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
     (a) Make sure that the COVER - PROTECTION are in position to prevent damage to the engine.
4. Procedure
Subtask 24-92-00-420-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Pylon Power Feeder-Cables
   (1) Connect the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) to the upper forward pylon-interface terminal-block (34).
     (a) Install the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) through the hole in the pylon.
     (b) Connect the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) to the terminal block studs.
       1 Connect the white cable (neutral) to stud 4.
       2 Connect the red cable (A phase) to the stud 1.
       3 Connect the yellow cable (B phase) to stud 2.
       4 Connect the blue cable (C phase) to stud 3.
     (c) Connect the eight wing power feeder-cables (40) to the terminal block studs on the four pylon power feeder-cables (2).
     (d) Install the four nuts (38) and spring washers (39) on the terminal block studs.
     (e) Tighten the four nuts (38) ESPM 204452.
     (f) Install the two bolts (36) and cover (35) on the shield.
     (g) Tighten the two bolts (36) ESPM 204452.
     (h) Installation of the lockwire
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
       1 Install the lockwire (37) on the cover (35).
     (i) Engage the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) into the two clamps (31).
     (j) Install the two clamps (31) on the support bracket with the washers (32) and bolts (33).
     (k) Tighten the bolts (33).
     (l) Engage the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) into the two clamps (28).
     (m) Install the two clamps (28) with the two washers (29) and bolts (30) on the clip nuts (28).
     (n) Tighten the two bolts (30).
     (o) Attach the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) to the support bracket (25) with the two screws (27) and washers (26).
     (p) Connect the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) to the pylon-interface terminal studs:
       1 Connect the white cable (neutral) to stud 4.
       2 Connect the red cable (A phase) to stud 1.
       3 Connect the yellow cable (B phase) to stud 2.
       4 Connect the blue cable (C phase) to stud 3.
     (q) Connect the four IDG power feeder-cables (3) to the pylon-interface terminal studs on the four pylon power feeder-cables (2):
       1 Connect the white cable (neutral) to stud 4.
       2 Connect the red cable (A phase) to stud 1.
       3 Connect the yellow cable (B phase) to stud 2.
       4 Connect the blue cable (C phase) to stud 3.
       5 Install the four spring washers (4) and nuts (5) on the four pylon power feeder-cables (2).
       6 TORQUE the four nuts (5) to between 212 and 195 lbf.in (2.40 and 2.20 m.daN ) T.
     (r) Attach the cover (8) with the two bolts (6).
     (s) TORQUE the two bolts (6) to between 8.80 and 8.00 lbf.in (0.10 and 0.09 m.daN )

     (t) Installation of the lockwire
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
       1 Install the lockwire (7) on the cover (8).
     (u) Engage the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) into the block clamp (22).
     (v) Put the block clamp (22) between the plates (21) and (23).
     (w) Attach the plates (21) and (23) to the support bracket with the two bolts (19), washers (20) and nuts (24).
     (x) Tighten the two nuts (24).
     (y) Engage the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) into the block clamp (15).
     (z) Put the block clamp (15) between the plates (14) and (16).
     (aa) Attach the plates (14) and (16) to the support bracket (13) with the two bolts (18) and washers (17).
     (ab) Tighten the two bolts (18).
     (ac) Engage the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) into the block clamp (9).
     (ad) Put the plate (10) on the block clamp (9).
     (ae) Attach the plate (10) to the support bracket with the two bolts (12) and washers (11).
     (af) Tighten the two bolts (12).
     (ag) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.

C. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser System after Ground Maintenance
   (1) Do the reactivation of the thrust reverser system after ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-805).

   (1) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):

   (2) Install the access panel that follow (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-400-805):

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

E. Test
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the engine 1(2) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that IDG1(2) operates correctly:
     (a) On the ECAM control panel, push the ELEC key to get the ELEC page on the lower ECAM DU:
  • Make sure that the voltage of the IDG1(2) is 115VAC.
  • Make sure that the frequency of the IDG1(2) is 400Hz plus or minus 5Hz.
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits supplied from the engine 1(2) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
