Subtask 54-52-11-941-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, at zone 410
(b) For the right pylon, at zone 420.
Subtask 54-52-11-040-066-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, at zone 410
(b) For the right pylon, at zone 420.
B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
4. ProcedureWARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). Subtask 54-52-11-110-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for the Installation
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Clean the parts kept from the removed component with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
Subtask 54-52-11-210-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Clean the parts kept from the removed component with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
B. Visual Inspection of the Upper Seals of the Bleed-Air Precooler Exchanger
(1) Do a visual inspection of the upper seals of the bleed-air precooler exchanger.
(2) Make sure that there are no:
(a) Burned color
(b) Cracks during visual inspection
(c) Cracks when you push them
(d) Silicone parts removed from the seals.
(3) If you find these types of damage, replace the seals (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-22-300-801).
Subtask 54-52-11-420-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do a visual inspection of the upper seals of the bleed-air precooler exchanger.
(2) Make sure that there are no:
(a) Burned color
(b) Cracks during visual inspection
(c) Cracks when you push them
(d) Silicone parts removed from the seals.
(3) If you find these types of damage, replace the seals (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-22-300-801).
C. Installation of the Access Skin Panels
(2) Install the screws (2) and tighten them.
(3) When you install the screws (2), do the electrical bonding at the applicable location (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
Subtask 54-52-11-820-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The procedure is the same for all the access skin panels:
(1) Put and hold the access skin panel (1) in position. (2) Install the screws (2) and tighten them.
(3) When you install the screws (2), do the electrical bonding at the applicable location (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
D. Check of the Clearances
(1) Make sure that peripheral clearance J1 between access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL) and 413AT ( 423AT) is 4 +2 mm or -2 mm (0.1575 +0.0787 in. or -0.0787 in.).
(2) Make sure that peripheral clearance J2 between blow panel 413CT (423CT) and access skin panel 413DT ( 423DT) is 3 +2 mm or -2 mm (0.1181 +0.0787 in. or -0.0787 in.).
(3) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A1 between access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL) and 413AT ( 423AT) is 0 +0.3 mm or -0.9 mm (0.0000 +0.0118 in. or -0.0354 in.).
(4) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A2 between access skin panels 413AT ( 423AT) and 413AL ( 423AL) is 0 +0.6 mm or -0.6 mm (0.0000 +0.0236 in. or -0.0236 in.).
(6) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A4 between access skin panel 413DT ( 423DT) and blow panel 413CT (423CT) is 0 +1.22 mm or -1.22 mm (0.0000 +0.0480 in. or -0.0480 in.).
(7) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A5 between access skin panels 413DT ( 423DT) and 413CL ( 424CR) is 0 +1.14 mm or -0.54 mm (0.0000 +0.0449 in. or -0.0213 in.).
(8) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A6 between access skin panel 413CL ( 424CR) and the apron is 0.2 +0.4 mm or -0.8 mm (0.0079 +0.0157 in. or -0.0315 in.).
(9) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A7 between access skin panels 413CL ( 424CR) and 413BL ( 424BR) is 0.2 +0.33 mm or -0.33 mm (0.0079 +0.0130 in. or -0.0130 in.).
(10) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A8 between access skin panel 413BL ( 424BR) and the apron is 0 +0.3 mm or -0.9 mm (0.0000 +0.0118 in. or -0.0354 in.).
(11) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A9 between access skin panel 413BL ( 424BR) and the apron is 0 +0.6 mm or -0.6 mm (0.0000 +0.0236 in. or -0.0236 in.).
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that peripheral clearance J1 between access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL) and 413AT ( 423AT) is 4 +2 mm or -2 mm (0.1575 +0.0787 in. or -0.0787 in.).
(2) Make sure that peripheral clearance J2 between blow panel 413CT (423CT) and access skin panel 413DT ( 423DT) is 3 +2 mm or -2 mm (0.1181 +0.0787 in. or -0.0787 in.).
(3) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A1 between access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL) and 413AT ( 423AT) is 0 +0.3 mm or -0.9 mm (0.0000 +0.0118 in. or -0.0354 in.).
(4) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A2 between access skin panels 413AT ( 423AT) and 413AL ( 423AL) is 0 +0.6 mm or -0.6 mm (0.0000 +0.0236 in. or -0.0236 in.).
NOTE: The out-of-flush dimension between access skin panels 413AT ( 423AT) and 414AR ( 424AR) is the same as out-of-flush dimension A2.
(5) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A3 between access skin panel 413BT ( 423BT) and blow panel 413CT (423CT) is 0.18 +1.01 mm or -0.41 mm (0.0071 +0.0398 in. or -0.0161 in.). (6) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A4 between access skin panel 413DT ( 423DT) and blow panel 413CT (423CT) is 0 +1.22 mm or -1.22 mm (0.0000 +0.0480 in. or -0.0480 in.).
(7) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A5 between access skin panels 413DT ( 423DT) and 413CL ( 424CR) is 0 +1.14 mm or -0.54 mm (0.0000 +0.0449 in. or -0.0213 in.).
(8) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A6 between access skin panel 413CL ( 424CR) and the apron is 0.2 +0.4 mm or -0.8 mm (0.0079 +0.0157 in. or -0.0315 in.).
(9) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A7 between access skin panels 413CL ( 424CR) and 413BL ( 424BR) is 0.2 +0.33 mm or -0.33 mm (0.0079 +0.0130 in. or -0.0130 in.).
(10) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A8 between access skin panel 413BL ( 424BR) and the apron is 0 +0.3 mm or -0.9 mm (0.0000 +0.0118 in. or -0.0354 in.).
(11) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A9 between access skin panel 413BL ( 424BR) and the apron is 0 +0.6 mm or -0.6 mm (0.0000 +0.0236 in. or -0.0236 in.).

A. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser
(1) Make the thrust reverser serviceable after maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-805).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
