(1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.

(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 410
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 420.
(2) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-805):
(a) For the left pylon: 413DT
(b) For the right pylon: 423DT.

4. Procedure

A. Replacement of the Upper Seals of the Bleed-Air Precooler Exchanger

Upper Seals of the Bleed-Air Precooler Exchanger ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Remove the used seals (2) and (3) from the access panel (1) and discard them.
(2) Install new AIPC 54-52-81-03-050 SEAL (2) (left) and new AIPC 54-52-81-04-050 SEAL (2) (right).
(3) Install new AIPC 54-52-81-03-040 SEALS (3) (left) and new AIPC 54-52-81-04-040 SEAL (3) (right).
(4) Make sure that the seals are correctly assembled in their brackets and that they have the correct orientation.

A. Close Access
(1) Install the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-400-805):
(a) For the left pylon: 413DT
(b) For the right pylon: 423DT.

B. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser
(1) Make the thrust reverser serviceable after maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-805).

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
