3. Job Set-up
Subtask 24-32-55-010-051-A
A. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the Third Occupant seat is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-41-000-001).
   (2) In the cockpit:

     (a) FOR [14PU] (CNTOR-TR 2/AC SVCE BUS NORM SPLY)
make sure that front panel of the panel 123VU is removed.

     (b) FOR [5PU1] (CNTOR-TR 1), [5PU2] (CNTOR-TR 2)
make sure that on the left lower side of the panel 120VU, the access door is removed.
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 121AL.
   (4) Make sure that the access door 121AL is open.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the external power connector is not connected to the aircraft EXT PWR receptacle.
   (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position at the access door 121AL to tell persons not to connect the external power connector to the aircraft EXT PWR receptacle.
   (3) In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
  • BAT 1, BAT 2,
  • APU GEN,
  • GEN 1, GEN 2,
  • EXT PWR.
   (4) In the cockpit, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate the pushbutton switches on these overhead panels:
  • 21VU (EMER ELEC PWR section),
  • 25VU (APU section),
  • 35VU (ELEC).
4. Procedure
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTACTOR LOCATING PIN IS CORRECTLY ENGAGED IN ITS RECESS LOCATED IN ONE POWER TERMINAL. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE LOCATING PIN WHEN YOU APPLY THE TORQUE.
Subtask 24-32-55-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
A. Installation of the Contactor Base
NOTE: The installation of a contactor base is necessary only if it was removed.
   (1) Install the contactor base (1) in correct position.
   (2) Install the washers (2) and screws (3) and tighten them.
   (3) Make sure that the electrical cables (13) are clean and in correct condition.
   (4) Installation of the electrical cables (13).
     (a) Install the washers (12) and the nuts (11).
     (b) TORQUE the nuts (11) to between 0.3 and 0.27 m.daN (26.55 and 23.89 lbf.in ) T.
   (5) Install the jumpers (4) between the contactor base (1) and the adjacent base.
   (6) Install the washers (5) and the nuts (6) and tighten them (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-15-912-001).

B. Installation of the Contactor

   (1) FOR [5PU1] (CNTOR-TR 1), [14PU] (CNTOR-TR 2/AC SVCE BUS NORM SPLY)
   (2) FOR [5PU2] (CNTOR-TR 2)
F TR 1 and TR 2 Contactors ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Install the contactor (10) on the tapped barrels (14) of the contactor base (1).
     (b) TORQUE the captive screws (7):

       1 FOR [5PU1] (CNTOR-TR 1), [5PU2] (CNTOR-TR 2)
TORQUE the screws to between 41.6 and 33.63 lbf.in (0.47 and 0.38 m.daN ) T.

       2 FOR [
14PU] (CNTOR-TR 2/AC SVCE BUS NORM SPLY)
TORQUE the screws to between 15.93 and 13.28 lbf.in (0.18 and 0.15 m.daN ) T.
     (c) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (d) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
     (e) Connect the connector (9).

C. Intallation of the Modules 20XX, 13PN, and 14PN
NOTE: The installation of the modules is necessary only if they were removed.
   (1) FOR [

   (2) FOR [13PN] (MODULE-DC BUS 1 CNTOR)
   (3) FOR [14PN] (MODULE-DC BUS 2 CNTOR)

D. Installation of the Contactors

   (1) FOR [5PU1] (CNTOR-TR 1), [14PU] (CNTOR-TR 2/AC SVCE BUS NORM SPLY)
   (2) FOR [5PU2] (CNTOR-TR 2)
F TR 1 and TR 2 Contactors ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Install the contactor (5) on the module.
     (b) TORQUE the captive screws (3):

       1 FOR [5PU1] (CNTOR-TR 1), [5PU2] (CNTOR-TR 2)
TORQUE the screws to between 41.6 and 33.63 lbf.in (0.47 and 0.38 m.daN ) T.

       2 FOR [
14PU] (CNTOR-TR 2/AC SVCE BUS NORM SPLY)
TORQUE the screws to between 15.93 and 13.28 lbf.in (0.18 and 0.15 m.daN ) T.
     (c) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (4) and the electrical receptacle (2).
     (d) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
     (e) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the contactor (5).

F. Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)

G. Test of the Contactor
   (1) On the ECAM control panel:
  • push the ELEC key to get the ELEC system page.
   (2) On the lower ECAM DU, make sure that the aircraft electrical configuration is correct.

I. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) In the cockpit:

     (a) FOR [14PU] (CNTOR-TR 2/AC SVCE BUS NORM SPLY)
install the front panel of the panel 123VU.

     (b) FOR [5PU1] (CNTOR-TR 1), [5PU2] (CNTOR-TR 2)
in the left Lower side of the panel 120VU, install the access door.
   (3) Install the third occupant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-41-400-001).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (5) Close the access door 121AL.
   (6) Remove the access platform(s).
