A. Deactivation of TR2 if the AC ESS FEED Control Is Serviceable
   (1) Operational test of the AC essential-generation switching-system.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the ECAM control panel:
  • Push the ELEC key.
On the lower ECAM Display Unit (DU), on the "ELEC" page:
  • A green bar comes into view between the AC1 and AC ESS busbars. This shows that the AC1 busbar energizes the AC ESS busbar.
2.On panel 123VU:
  • Open circuit breaker 1XC.
On F/O glareshield panel 130VU:
  • The MASTER CAUT light comes on.

You can hear the single chime.

The upper ECAM DU becomes black.

These indications come into view on the upper ECAM DU and move to the lower ECAM DU:
  • "ELEC AC ESS BUS FAULT", and
  • " AC ESS FEED".

On ELEC panel 35VU:
  • The FAULT legend of the AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch comes on.
3.On ELEC panel 35VU:
  • Release the AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch.
On ELEC panel 35VU:
  • The FAULT legend of the AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch goes off.
  • The ALTN legend of the AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch comes on.
  • The self-test is in progress on the upper ECAM DU.
4.Wait for the self-test to be completed on the upper ECAM DU:
  • Set the upper ECAM DU to OFF, then to ON with the brightness potentiometer.
On the upper ECAM DU:
  • The Engine/Warning Display (EWD) comes into view.
On the lower ECAM DU:
  • The SD comes into view.
5.On the ECAM control panel:
  • Push the ELEC key.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the "ELEC" page:
  • A green bar comes into view between the AC2 and AC ESS busbars. This shows that the AC2 busbar energizes the AC ESS busbar.
  • The green bar between the AC1 and AC ESS busbars goes out of view.
6.On panel 123VU:
  • Close circuit breaker 1XC.

7.On ELEC panel 35VU:
  • Push the AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch.
On ELEC panel 35VU:
  • The ALTN legend of the AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch goes off.

On the "ELEC" page:
  • The green bar between the AC2 and AC ESS busbars goes out of view.
  • The green bar between the AC1 and AC ESS busbars comes into view.

B. Deactivation of TR2
   (1) Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
   (2) On the SD, on the "ELEC" page:
  • Ignore the indications related to TR2.
  • Do a check of the voltages of TR1 and the Essential (ESS) TR. The two voltages must be equal to or more than 27V.
   (3) On the ELEC panel 35VU, release BAT 1 and BAT 2 pushbutton switches (on these pushbutton switches, the OFF legend comes on).
   (4) On the battery voltage indicator, do a check of the voltages of BAT1 and BAT2. The two voltages must be equal to or more than 25.5V.
5. Close-up
