A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (3) On the ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that:
  • The AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch is pushed (the ALTN legend is off).

4. Procedure
Subtask 24-30-00-040-052-A
A. Deactivation of the TR2 if AC ESS FEED Control Is Serviceable
   (1) Operational test of the AC essential-generation switching system.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the ECAM control panel:
  • Push the ELEC key.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the ELEC page:
  • A green bar comes into view between the AC1 and AC ESS busbars. This shows that the AC1 busbar energizes the AC ESS busbar.
2.On the panel 123VU:
  • Open the circuit breaker 1XC.
On the F/O glareshield panel 130VU:
  • The MASTER CAUT light comes on.

You can hear the single chime.

The upper ECAM DU becomes black.

The indications shown on the upper ECAM DU:
ELEC AC ESS BUS FAULT then AC ESS FEED ... ALTN move to the lower ECAM DU.

On the ELEC panel 35VU:
  • The FAULT legend of the AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch comes on.
3.On the ELEC panel 35VU:
  • Release the AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch.
On the ELEC panel 35VU:
  • The FAULT legend of the AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch goes off.
  • The ALTN legend of the AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch comes on.
4.On the ECAM control panel:
  • Push the ELEC key.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the ELEC page:
  • A green bar comes into view between the AC2 and AC ESS busbars. This shows that the AC2 busbar energizes the AC ESS busbar,
  • The green bar between the AC1 and AC ESS busbars goes out of view.
5.On the panel 123VU:
  • Close the circuit breaker 1XC.

6.On the ELEC panel 35VU:
  • Push the AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch.
On the ELEC panel 35VU:
  • The ALTN legend of the AC ESS FEED pushbutton switch goes off.

On the ELEC page:
  • The green bar between the AC2 and AC ESS busbars goes out of view.
  • The green bar between the AC1 and AC ESS busbars comes into view.
5. Close-up
Subtask 24-30-00-860-055-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (2) Make an entry in the logbook.
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
