1. Reason for the Job
This procedure gives the instructions necessary to do a reset and BITE-test of the CIDS.
NOTE: For each LED cabin sign: If the test is not deactivated in the CAM, Class 3 fault messages will be recorded.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(3) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(4) Make sure that a minimum of one cabin door is open.
Subtask 23-73-00-860-083-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(3) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(4) Make sure that a minimum of one cabin door is open.

(3) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(4) Make sure that the Passenger Entertainment System (Music) is energized (Ref. AMM D/O 23-33-00-74).
(5) Make sure that a minimum of one cabin door is open.

(2) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(3) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(4) Make sure that the Passenger Entertainment System (Music) is energized (Ref. AMM D/O 23-33-00-74).
(5) Make sure that a minimum of one cabin door is open.
B. Make sure that the EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL on the overhead panel 25VU is in the OFF position.

Subtask 23-73-00-860-084-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(2) De-energize the CFDS (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-003).
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
NOTE: If some reading lights are not operational after the test:
- set the reading lights on the FAP to off for approx. 10 seconds and than set the reading lights on again.
NOTE: If the NS signs in a Non Smoker A/C configuration do not come on:
(1) Do the EIS stop procedure- set the NS switch to the AUTO or ON position and than back again.

(2) De-energize the CFDS (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-003).
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
