Installation of the Electrical Tertiary Lock Proximity Sensors
This procedure gives the instructions to install the proximity sensors on the tertiary lock proximity sensors.
There are two proximity sensors:

Installation of the Electrical Tertiary Lock Proximity Sensors
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
1. Reason for the JobThis procedure gives the instructions to install the proximity sensors on the tertiary lock proximity sensors.
There are two proximity sensors:
- The channel A proximity sensor (4134EG) is in the lower position.
- The channel B proximity sensor (4135EG) is in the upper position.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 78-37-52-010-057-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 78-37-52-010-058-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for nacelle maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807). D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

A. Installation of the Tertiary Lock Channel A Proximity Sensor
(1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from all the receptacles and connectors.
(2) Lubricate the threads of the two bolts (10) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(3) Put the proximity sensor (4134EG) (3) in position on the tertiary lock (9).
(4) Attach the proximity sensor (4134EG) (3) to the tertiary lock (9) with two bolts (10).
(5) TORQUE the two bolts (10) to between 0.34 and 0.23 m.daN (30.09 and 20.35 lbf.in )

(6) Connect the channel A electrical connector (4134KS) (5) to the proximity sensor (4134EG) (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).
(7) Connect the electrical connector (8) to the solenoid (7) on the tertiary lock (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).
Subtask 78-37-52-420-052-A (1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from all the receptacles and connectors.
(2) Lubricate the threads of the two bolts (10) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(3) Put the proximity sensor (4134EG) (3) in position on the tertiary lock (9).
(4) Attach the proximity sensor (4134EG) (3) to the tertiary lock (9) with two bolts (10).
(5) TORQUE the two bolts (10) to between 0.34 and 0.23 m.daN (30.09 and 20.35 lbf.in )
. (6) Connect the channel A electrical connector (4134KS) (5) to the proximity sensor (4134EG) (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).
(7) Connect the electrical connector (8) to the solenoid (7) on the tertiary lock (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).
B. Installation of the Tertiary Lock Channel B Proximity Sensor
(1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from all the receptacles and connectors.
(2) Lubricate the threads of the two bolts (11) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(3) Put the proximity sensor (4135EG) (2) in position on the tertiary lock (9).
(4) Attach the proximity sensor (4135EG) (2) to the tertiary lock (9) with two bolts (11).
(5) TORQUE the two bolts (11) to between 0.34 and 0.23 m.daN (30.09 and 20.35 lbf.in )

(6) Connect the channel B electrical connector (4135KS) (6) to the proximity sensor (4135EG) (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).
(7) Connect the electrical connector (8) to the solenoid (7) on the tertiary lock (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).
5. Close-up(1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from all the receptacles and connectors.
(2) Lubricate the threads of the two bolts (11) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(3) Put the proximity sensor (4135EG) (2) in position on the tertiary lock (9).
(4) Attach the proximity sensor (4135EG) (2) to the tertiary lock (9) with two bolts (11).
(5) TORQUE the two bolts (11) to between 0.34 and 0.23 m.daN (30.09 and 20.35 lbf.in )
. (6) Connect the channel B electrical connector (4135KS) (6) to the proximity sensor (4135EG) (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).
(7) Connect the electrical connector (8) to the solenoid (7) on the tertiary lock (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-806):
