C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Ground Maintenance
4. ProcedureWARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 78-37-01-710-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Check of the Left and Right Track-Lock Locking-Mechanism
(1) Make sure that the TRAS track lock is in the locked position. See the figure:
(2) Make sure that the translating sleeve is in the retracted position (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-860-803).
(3) Deactivate the feedback locking actuator for the applicable thrust reverser half.
(a) Turn the feedback locking actuator manual lock drive to the unlocked position.
(b) Install the 636-3000-28GSE TR ACT. PRIM. LCK PIN in the feedback locking actuator through the manual lock drive to hold the manual lock drive in the unlocked position. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
(4) Deactivate the locking actuator for the applicable thrust reverser half.
