WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS AS FOLLOWS:
  • 1JH AND 3JH1 BEFORE 2KS1
  • 1JH AND 3JH2 BEFORE 2KS2.
IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE, THERE IS A RISK OF ELECTROCUTION. THIS IS BECAUSE YOU WILL START CONTINUOUS IGNITION IF YOU OPEN CIRCUIT BREAKER 2KS1 OR 2KS2 FIRST.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE PROBE HEATER AND WINDOW HEATER CIRCUIT-BREAKERS ARE OPEN BEFORE YOU OPEN THE PHC AND WHC CIRCUIT BREAKERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE:
  • THE PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT.
  • THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

WARNING: DO NOT WORK ON THE IGNITION SYSTEM WITH THE CB 2KS1 (2KS2) OPENED WHEN:
  • THE MASTER CONTROL SWITCH IS IN THE OFF POSITION AND
  • THE ENG/MODE SELECTOR SWITCH IS IN THE NORM POSITION.
IN THIS CONFIGURATION, THE IGNITION SYSTEM IS ENERGIZED WITH HIGH VOLTAGE CURRENT THAT CAN BE DANGEROUS.
A. Test(s)
ACTION
RESULT
1.Move the ENG1 (ENG2) throttle control levers.
Make sure that the small circle (1) (THR REFERENCE) on the N1 indication, the thrust limit mode indication (2) and the N1 value limit (3) follow the throttle position on the upper ECAM DU.
2.Open the circuit breaker 2KS1 (2KS2).
This message comes into view on the upper ECAM DU:
For engine 1:
  • ENG 1 FADEC SYS FAULT
  • ENG 1 MINOR FAULT
  • ENG 1 OIL CHIP DETECTED
For engine 2:
  • ENG 2 FADEC SYS FAULT
  • ENG 2 MINOR FAULT
  • ENG 2 OIL CHIP DETECTED
3.Move the ENG1 (ENG2) throttle control levers
Make sure that the small circle (1) (THR REFERENCE) on the N1 indication, follows the throttle position on the upper ECAM DU.
4.Close the circuit breaker 2KS1 (2KS2).
This message goes out of view:
For engine 1:
  • ENG 1 FADEC SYS FAULT
  • ENG 1 MINOR FAULT
  • ENG 1 OIL CHIP DETECTED
For engine 2:
  • ENG 2 FADEC SYS FAULT
  • ENG 2 MINOR FAULT
  • ENG 2 OIL CHIP DETECTED
5.Open the circuit breaker 4KS1 (4KS2).
This message comes into view on the upper ECAM DU:
For engine 1:
  • ENG 1 FADEC SYS FAULT
  • ENG 1 MINOR FAULT
  • ENG 1 OIL CHIP DETECTED
  • ENG 1 TURB COOL FAULT
