Troubleshoot Report (Menu Mode)

1. Reason for the Job
The Troubleshoot Report, accessible in Menu Mode, is the combination of the Last Leg and Previous Leg Fault Reports except additional fault independent data is displayed for each fault. This report provides list of fault information for faults class 1 and 2 detected by the EEC that are annunciated to the flight crew or maintenance teams during normal operation or via the post flight report.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Push the FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch.
(b) The ON legend of this pushbutton switch comes on.
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
(b) Install a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell the persons not to use it.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the High Pressure (HP) ground connector to tell the persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
(4) On the overhead panel, on the ADIRS CDU, set the three OFF/NAV/ATT selector switches to NAV.
(5) On the left or right MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST ENG menu page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-001).

4. Procedure

NOTE: EEC Menu Mode will end without displaying a termination screen if any of the conditions that follow occur: The RETURN key is selected on the main menu screen. Engine start is detected. Mach is more than 0.12 or invalid. Aircraft indicates it is in air.

A. General

NOTE: The EEC will not enter the menu mode (interactive mode) after an inquire command from the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS) when any of the following conditions are set:

N2 more than ten percent or invalid
Rotary selector on CRANK or IGN/START or invalid
Manual Start Button on ON or invalid
Throttle Lever Angle (TLA) not at idle or invalid
Aircraft in the air
MASTER lever ON or invalid
BITE command code input label invalid.

(1) The Troubleshoot Report contains maximum 49 class 1 and 2 internal and external faults for the last 64 flight legs. Maximum 12 faults will be displayed per flight leg. The faults captured in the Troubleshoot Report are displayed to the flight crew or maintenance teams during normal operation or via post flight report.
(2) Fault detected during NULL phase of flight leg (reported in the Ground Report) are not displayed in this report.
NULL phase range is between:

POWER UP and 1st ENGINE START (N2 is more than or equal to 50 percent) + 3 MIN
80 kts after TOUCH DOWN + 2 MIN, 30 SEC or 5 MINUTES AFTER LAST ENGINE STOPPED.

B. Review the Last Leg Report in Menu Mode

NOTE: The EEC will not enter the menu mode (interactive mode) after an inquire command from the CFDS (Centralized Fault Display System) when any of the following conditions are set:

N2 more than ten percent or invalid
Rotary selector on CRANK or IGN/START or Invalid
Manual Start Button on ON or Invalid
TLA (Throttle Lever Angle) not at idle or invalid
Aircraft in the air
MASTER lever ON or invalid
BITE command code input label invalid.

ACTION	RESULT
1.Initialize Menu Mode on the applicable engine and EEC channel by selecting FADEC XY (X = Engine position, Y = EEC channel).	The Menu Mode MAIN MENU is displayed for the applicable engine and EEC channel. Menu Mode Main Menu (Screen 1)
2.From the Menu Mode MAIN MENU, select the key adjacent to TROUBLESHOOT REPORT (4L).	The Troubleshooting Report first screen is displayed, providing fault information. Troubleshoot Report First Screen (Screen 2)
	The troubleshooting data for each fault is displayed in two pages. Troubleshoot Report second screen. Troubleshoot Report Second Screen (Screen 3)
	NOTE: Fault information may be displayed on multiple screens depending on the number of faults detected.
	If no Troubleshoot Report faults have been detected, the Troubleshoot Report No Faults Recorded screen is displayed. Troubleshoot Report No Fault Screen (Screen 4)
	If EECNVM is corrupted and the EEC is unable to retrieve the relevant faults and/or information, the Troubleshoot Report NVM Fault screen is displayed. Troubleshoot Report Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) Fault Screen (Screen 5) Verify no EEC NVM, CCDL, or CPU faults are present (follow corrective action per Trouble Shooting Manual (TSM) if the faults present) and re-attempt to review the troubleshoot report. If again unsuccessful, attempt to review the Troubleshoot Report on the opposite EEC channel.
3.Review the Troubleshoot Report fault maintenance information displayed on the screen. Address the active faults as necessary per TSM.
4.When complete, select the key adjacent to RETURN to return to the Menu Mode MAIN MENU.	The Menu Mode MAIN MENU is displayed for the applicable engine and EEC channel. Menu Mode Main Menu (Screen 1)

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Remove all the fixtures, tools, test and support equipment used during this procedure.
(2) Release the FADEC pushbutton switch.
(3) On the ADIRS CDU, set the three OFF/NAV/ATT selector switches to OFF.
(4) Close the OMS session (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
