4. Procedure
Subtask 73-29-00-710-088-A
A. General
   (1) The Previous Legs Report format (most recent 100 class 1 and 2 faults only) detected in the 63 flights prior to the last flight shall be as shown in figure (screen 2). Maximum of 12 faults will be displayed per flight leg.
   (2) Flight Leg numbers shall be displayed in reverse chronological order and the faults within each leg are displayed in chronological order with the oldest fault first. Fault description and troubleshooting guidance is provided by the Trouble Shooting Manual (TSM).
Subtask 73-29-00-740-059-A
B. Review the Last Leg Report in Menu Mode
NOTE: The EEC will not enter the menu mode (interactive mode) after an enquire command from the CFDS (Centralized Fault Display System) when any of the following conditions are set:
  • N2 more than ten percent or invalid
  • Rotary selector on CRANK or IGN/START or invalid
  • Manual Start Button on ON or invalid
  • TLA (Throttle Lever Angle) not at idle or invalid
  • Aircraft in the air
  • MASTER lever ON or invalid
  • BITE command code input label invalid.
NOTE: EEC Menu Mode will be terminated without displaying a termination screen if any of the following conditions occur:
  • The RETURN key is selected on the main menu screen
  • Engine start is detected
  • Mach is greater than 0.12 or invalid
  • Aircraft indicates it is in air.
ACTION
RESULT
1.Initialize Menu Mode on the applicable engine and EEC channel, by selecting FADEC XY (X = Engine Position, Y = Channel Designation).
NOTE: If one of the following conditions occurs while menu mode is active, Menu Mode session will be exited directly, without displaying a specific screen:
  • RETURN key selected on main menu screen
  • Channel in Menu Mode is not the active channel
  • Invalid BITE command or Invalid equipment code received by EEC
  • A LOGOFF condition received by EEC
  • Engine start detected whereas function requiring idle speed (as Idle test, Vibration Ground Run) is not active
  • Selected Mach more than 0.12 or invalid
  • Aircraft indicates in air.
The Menu Mode main menu is displayed for the applicable engine and EEC channel.
2.From the Menu Mode main menu, select the key adjacent to Previous legs Report (2L).
The Previous Leg Report screen is displayed, providing fault information.

NOTE: Fault information may be displayed on multiple screens depending on the number of faults detected.

  • If EECNVM is corrupted and the EEC is unable to retrieve the relevant faults and/or information, the Previous Legs Report NVM fault screen is displayed.
Verify no EEC Non-Volatile Memory (NVM), CCDL, or Central Processing Unit (CPU) faults are present (follow corrective action per TSM if the faults present) and re-attempt to review the Previous Legs Report. If again unsuccessful, attempt to review the Previous Legs Report on the opposite EEC channel.
3.Review the Previous Legs Report fault maintenance information displayed on the screen. Address the active faults as necessary per TSM.

4.When complete, select the key adjacent to RETURN to return to the Menu Mode main menu.
The Menu Mode main menu is displayed for the applicable engine and EEC channel.
5.Repeat the steps above for the other EEC channel. Each EEC channel will only display faults for that channel. For all engine previous leg faults, the report should be run on both channels.

5. Close-up
