Installation of the Fuel Temperature Transducer
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-21-30-010-056-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 73-21-30-010-057-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809). D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

A. Installation of the Fuel Temperature Transducer
(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
(2) Fill the thermal well of the P23 fuel supply tube-hose (1) withCP2619 Never Seez-Pure Nickel, Special .
(3) Install the fuel temperature transducer (2) in the P23 fuel supply tube-hose (1).
(4) Apply engine oil (Material No.CP2442) on the threads and under the heads of the bolts (3).
(5) Install the two bolts (3) that attach the fuel temperature transducer (2) to the P23 fuel supply tube-hose (1).
(6) TORQUE the two bolts (3) to between 124 and 106 lbf.in (1.40 and 1.20 m.daN )

(7) Clean the unwantedCP2619 Never Seez-Pure Nickel, Special from the P23 supply tube-hose (1) and the fuel temperature transducer (2).
(8) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the fuel temperature transducer (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).
5. Close-up(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
(2) Fill the thermal well of the P23 fuel supply tube-hose (1) with
(3) Install the fuel temperature transducer (2) in the P23 fuel supply tube-hose (1).
(4) Apply engine oil (Material No.CP2442) on the threads and under the heads of the bolts (3).
