   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

   (1) Open the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure

A. Detailed Visual Inspection (DVI) of the Stator Guide Vane (SGV) Inner Liner
   (1) Do a DVI of the SGV inner liner for damage. Use a FLASHLIGHT if necessary. See Table 1.
   (2) Put a MAT - PROTECTIVE inside the air intake cowl.
   (3) Wear GLOVES - PROTECTIVE when you touch the fan blades.

Nicks, dents, or scratches not more than 0.039 in. (0.991 mm) maximum depth, all quantities
Permitted
Nicks, dents, or scratches more than 0.039 in. (0.991 mm) maximum depth
Not permitted. Replace the damaged liner in 50 flight cycles (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-08-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-08-400-801).
Surface erosion not more than 0.030 in. (0.762 mm) maximum depth, all quantities
Permitted
Surface erosion more than 0.030 in. (0.762 mm) maximum depth
Not permitted. Replace the damaged liner in 50 flight cycles (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-08-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-08-400-801).
Punctures, holes, or missing materials
Not permitted. Replace the damaged liner in ten flight cycles (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-08-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-08-400-801).
Rubber fillet for:
Wear, peeling, detachment, or missing material, all quantities
Permitted. Loose rubber fillets may be cut away, which are possible to be released from the liner.
   (4) Remove the MAT - PROTECTIVE from the air inlet cowl.
