3. Job Set-up
Subtask 71-52-43-941-057-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for nacelle maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807).

D. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-52-43-420-063-A
A. Installation of the Electrical Harness (5) from the Pylon to the Environment Control System (ECS) Valve
   (1) Remove all COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
   (2) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (4), bolts (13) and screws (16) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
   (3) Put the P-clamps (6) and (11) on the harness (5). Use the record made during the removal procedure to help get the correct location and position.
   (4) Put the harness in position on the engine. Use the record made during the removal procedure to help get the correct routing.
   (5) Connect the electrical connections as follows (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804):
     (a) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the receptacle on the High Pressure Valve (HPV) (1).
     (b) Connect the electrical connector (7) to the receptacle on the Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) (8).
     (c) Connect the electrical connector (18) to the receptacle on the pylon interface (19).
   (6) Attach the harness (5) to the engine at two locations as follows:
     (a) Loosely install the bolt (4) and the P-clamp (6) on the support bracket (3).
     (b) Loosely install the bolt (13) and the P-clamp (11) on the support bracket (12).
   (7) Install the harness into the spring clips on the support brackets (3), (9), (10) and (12).
   (8) Adjust the tension in the harness along the routing. Make sure that the harness (5) does not touch the adjacent parts.
   (9) Install the harness (5) at the fire seal (17) as follows:
     (a) Put the harness (5) in position in the fire seal (17).
     (b) Put the outboard half of the fire seal (17) in position.
     (c) Install the pylon cover (15) and the four screws (16) in position on the outboard half of the fire seal (17).
     (d) TORQUE the screws (16) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in ) T.
   (10) TORQUE the bolt (13) and the bolt (4) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
