(1) Do not discard a part until you are sure there are no repairs available. If you reject a part and no repair is available, contact Collins Aerospace for disposition.
(2) Examine all the inlet cowl components for ash contamination (Ref. AMM TASK 71-61-10-210-801):

(a) Carefully, examine the fan cowl door components as follows:

(a) Carefully, examine the thrust reverser components as follows:
For more information on the thrust reverser components (Ref. AMM D/O 78-32-00-00) and (Ref. AMM D/O 78-37-00-00).

(a) Visually examine the engine build-up systems.
(a) Visually examine the exhaust for ash contamination:
For more information on the exhaust components (Ref. AMM D/O 78-11-00-00).
(a) Remove the ash contamination from the applicable components and surrounding areas with the VACUUM CLEANER.
(b) Clean the components with a clean cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) andPU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl . Remove the solvent with a clean cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) before it dries.
(c) Flush the components with water (Material No.PU1-0051) .
(d) Dry the components with a clean cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) .
(8) Examine the components again:
(a) Refer to Step 4.A.(2) thru Step 4.A.(6)(a).
(9) If necessary, do a functional check for the applicable components and systems:
(a) Refer to Step 4.A.(2) thru Step 4.A.(6)(a).
5. Close-up(1) Do not discard a part until you are sure there are no repairs available. If you reject a part and no repair is available, contact Collins Aerospace for disposition.
