- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION SYSTEM (TPS) ON THE INSPECTION AREA. IF YOU APPLY TPS ON THE INSPECTION AREA, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is on the flap/slat control lever.

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap tracks 2, 3 and 4 at zones 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(2) Remove the applicable flap-track fixed-fairing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001):
Subtask 57-26-00-010-058-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap tracks 2, 3 and 4 at zones 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(2) Remove the applicable flap-track fixed-fairing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001):
D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap tracks 2, 3 and 4 at zones 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(2) Remove the applicable flap track movable and fixed-fairing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004):
Subtask 57-26-00-110-058-A (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap tracks 2, 3 and 4 at zones 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(2) Remove the applicable flap track movable and fixed-fairing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004):
E. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer and if there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer and if there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
Subtask 57-26-00-210-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL - DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
A. Inspection
(1) Do a detailed inspection of the forward spigot pins, bolts and fittings of the flap-track beams 2, 3 and 4, for damage or discontinuities.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
(3) Do a detailed inspection of the forward attachments and bearing brackets of the flap-track beams 2, 3 and 4, for damage or discontinuities.
(4) Make sure that:
(a) The sealant is in the correct condition at the interfaces of the bearing sleeve and the outer ring with the bearing bracket.
(b) The lockwire that safeties the inner ring and the outer ring is in the correct condition.
(c) There is no damage to the inner and outer rings.
Subtask 57-26-00-210-057-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do a detailed inspection of the forward spigot pins, bolts and fittings of the flap-track beams 2, 3 and 4, for damage or discontinuities.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
(3) Do a detailed inspection of the forward attachments and bearing brackets of the flap-track beams 2, 3 and 4, for damage or discontinuities.
(4) Make sure that:
(a) The sealant is in the correct condition at the interfaces of the bearing sleeve and the outer ring with the bearing bracket.

(a) Corrosion:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for the damage types, classification and corrective action.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable flap-track fixed-fairing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001):

C. Aircraft Configuration
(1) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).

(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
