DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the slat/flap control lever.
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the slat/flap system.

Subtask 57-26-15-010-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Get Access
(1) For the flap track beam 2:
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable inboard flap at zone 531(631).
(b) Remove the applicable inboard flap (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-61-000-001).
(2) For the flap track beams 3 and 4:
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable outboard flap at zone 533(633).
(b) Remove the applicable outboard flap (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-62-000-001).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap tracks 2, 3 and 4, zones 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(4) Remove the applicable fixed fairing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001):

for flap track 2, remove 531AB 531BB 631AB 631BB
for flap track 3, remove 532AB 532BB 632AB 632BB
for flap track 4, remove 533AB 533BB 633AB 633BB.

(5) Remove the applicable flap track beam:

for the flap track beam 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-33-000-002)
for the flap track beam 3 (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-33-000-003)
for the flap track beam 4 (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-33-000-004).

B. Get Access
(1) For the flap track beam 2:
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable inboard flap at zone 531(631).
(b) Remove the applicable inboard flap (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-61-000-003).
(2) For the flap track beams 3 and 4:
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable outboard flap at zone 533(633).
(b) Remove the applicable outboard flap (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-62-000-002).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap tracks 2, 3 and 4, zones 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(4) Remove the applicable fixed fairing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004):

for flap track 2, remove 531AB 531BB 631AB 631BB
for flap track 3, remove 532AB 532BB 632AB 632BB
for flap track 4, remove 533AB 533BB 633AB 633BB.

(5) Remove the applicable flap track beam:

for the flap track beam 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-33-000-002)
for the flap track beam 3 (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-33-000-003)
for the flap track beam 4 (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-33-000-004).

4. Procedure

CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:

DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

Subtask 57-26-15-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Flap Beam Attachment-Bracket Bearing

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the outer ring (1) and the inner ring (5).
(2) Remove the outer ring (1) and the inner ring (5), using the applicable tool as follows:

for the flap track beams 2 and 3, use the 98D57004033000 REM.-INST. TOOL - FLAP BEARING.
for the flap track beam 4, use the 98D57004034000 REM-INST. TOOL - FLAP BEARING.

(3) Remove the spherical bearing (4) and carefully remove the sleeve bearing (3).

Subtask 57-26-15-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Flap Beam Attachment-Bracket Bearing
(1) Release the washer (3).
(2) Remove the nut (4), using the applicable tool as follows:

for the flap track beams 2 and 3, use the 98D57004033000 REM.-INST. TOOL - FLAP BEARING
for the flap track beam 4, use the 98D57004034000 REM-INST. TOOL - FLAP BEARING.

(3) Remove the nut (4).
(4) Remove and discard the washer (3).
(5) Carefully remove the bearing assembly (1).
