Subtask 54-57-22-941-098-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
   (1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012).

C. Removal of the Components
   (1) Remove the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-000-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-16-000-010):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
447AL, 448AR.
   (2) Remove the thrust reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-01-000-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-02-000-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-03-000-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-04-000-010):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

   (3) Remove the common nozzle assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-11-000-010).
   (4) Remove the power plant (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-20-000-040).

D. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
     (a) For the left pylon, in zone 410
     (b) For the right pylon, in zone 420.

E. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
   (2) If it is not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
4. Procedure
Subtask 54-57-22-220-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a detailed inspection of the lower fairing firewall-seals (1) and (2).
   (2) Make sure that there is no wear, damage or degradation.
   (3) If you find wear, damage or degradation, replace the lower fairing firewall-seals (1) and (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 54-57-22-000-004) and (Ref. AMM TASK 54-57-22-400-004).

   (1) Install the power plant (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-20-400-040).
   (2) Install the common nozzle assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-11-400-010).
   (3) Install the thrust reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-01-400-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-02-400-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-03-400-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-04-400-010):
