BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AFTER SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY CAN OCCUR.

MAKE SURE THAT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 410
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 420.
4. Procedure(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:

A. Installation of the Firewall Seals seal(s) (1) and/or (3).
(1) Compress and install the firewall seal(s) (1) and/or (3) on its(their) retainer(s) (2) and/or (4).
(3) Remove the unwanted sealant with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
Subtask 54-57-22-420-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Compress and install the firewall seal(s) (1) and/or (3) on its(their) retainer(s) (2) and/or (4).
NOTE: The firewall seal(s) must be new if it(they) was(were) damaged.
(2) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) in the gap between the firewall seal(s) (1) and/or (3) and the lower fairing. (3) Remove the unwanted sealant with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
B. Installation of the Components
(1) Install the applicable engine (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-20-400-040).
(2) Install the common nozzle assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-11-400-010).
(3) Install the left and right thrust-reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-01-400-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-02-400-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-03-400-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-04-400-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(4) Install the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-400-010), (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-16-400-010):
