A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred a minimum of five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the ENG section of overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC GND PWR 1(2).
(4) Obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).

(4) Apply a force of between 0 kg (0.0000 lb) and 150 kg (330.6933 lb).

(7) Remove the lockwasher (42) and discard it.
(8) Remove the sleeve (30) with the 98D54003005000 PYLON SHAFT EXTRACTOR RIB4-RIB10.
(9) Remove the cotter pins (38) and discard them.
(10) Lock the bolt (33) with the 98D54503000000 PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH.
