A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred a minimum of five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the ENG section of overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC GND PWR 1(2).
(4) Obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).

F. Removal of the Panels
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, at zone 470
(b) For the right pylon, at zone 480.
(2) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471DL 471CR 475BL and 475BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481CL 481DR 485BL and 485BR.

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Dynamometric Adaptor and Jack
(1) Install the 98A54403024003 ADAPTOR-DYNAMOMETRIC AT RIB 1 (top subassembly).
(2) Put the jack in position, below the attach fitting at RIB1.
(3) Install the 98A54403024003 ADAPTOR-DYNAMOMETRIC AT RIB 1 (lower subassembly) on the jack
(4) Apply a force of between 0 kg (0.0000 lb) and 150 kg (330.6933 lb).

B. Removal of the Pylon-to-Wing Aft Attach-Fitting
(1) Remove the cotter pin (39).

Pylon-to-Wing Aft Attach-Fitting ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(2) Lock the bolt (31) with the 98D54503000000 PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH.
Remove the nut (40) with the 98D54503000000 PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH.
(3) Remove the bolt (31).
(4) Release the nut (41).
(5) Lock the sleeve (30) with the 98D54503000000 PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH.
(6) Remove the nut (41) with the 98D54503000000 PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH.
(7) Remove the lockwasher (42) and discard it.
(8) Remove the sleeve (30) with the 98D54003005000 PYLON SHAFT EXTRACTOR RIB4-RIB10.
(9) Remove the cotter pins (38) and discard them.
(10) Lock the bolt (33) with the 98D54503000000 PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH.
Remove the nut (37) with the 98D54503000000 PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH.
(11) Remove the bolt (33).
(12) Release the nut (36).
(13) Lock the sleeve (32) with the 98D54503000000 PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH.
(14) Remove the nut (36) with the 98D54503000000 PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH.
(15) Remove the lockwashers (35) and discard them.
(16) Remove the sleeve (32) with the 98D54003005000 PYLON SHAFT EXTRACTOR RIB4-RIB10.
(17) Remove the shackles (34).
(18) Increase the force continuously and equally until you can remove the sleeve.
